You Are An Answer (5)
by Olawale Ogunsola As can be seen from previous series, you are on the planet Earth to be of use to God, other people and yourself. The best you can do is to be ready to carry out this assignments. You have to be grateful for being able to do this if you have been used in a way or another and at a time or another. You have nothing to be proud of in it. You and all that you have to use were or are from God. So, all glory must be to the Lord alone. Whenever you are used, be grateful to the Lord that He counts you to be worthy of use. Otherwise, God has so many servants He can use besides you. So it is either you are used or replaced by another, possibly s servant better than you. My prayer is that may the Lord not replace you on the assignment He has for you in Jesus name. The reason is that for every assignment, there is a reward; and it is that labourer who carries out the work who will be given the reward. No man is indispensable. God has alternatives. This replacement theory was understood by Mordecai in the land of captivity. When the death penalty was sealed on the Jews, he believed that his adopted daughter, Esther, who was the reigning Queen, should be able to bail them out. Out of genuine fear, she was reluctant to go in to the king that she might speak on behalf of her people. Mordecai was not pleased with her reply. He registered his displeasure thus, To God be the glory Who strengthened her faith to do the needful which was "pleading the course of her people before the king". In Esther chapter six, it discloses, "[1]That night the king had trouble sleeping, so he ordered an attendant to bring the book of the history of his reign so it could be read to him. Do you know what? This theory was also well known to John the Baptist. Although he ought not to have doubted what he believed and proclaimed, that Jesus is the Lord and Messiah. However, at a point, he sent his disciples to Jesus Christ to inquire: Whether he was wrong or not, one glaring truth remains that God has alternatives. He understood this very well. Devout reader, do you know now that you are not indispensable? Do you now realize that you need to be thankful to God anytime He purposes to use you for His glory in the lives of others? Why? Because He has alternatives. Therefore, anytime you are commissioned to carry out an assignment, do so promptly and joyfully. May you not miss your rewards and honor in Jesus mighty name. It is equally important to bear it in your mind that if you expect a help from a source that is not forthcoming, do not lose hope; God has alternatives. He will not disappoint you. Only put all your trust in Him and you will have reasons to rejoice in the Lord your God.
