You Are An Answer (1)
by Olawale Ogunsola

Communication is central to every relationship. Relationship break up, many times are directly or indirectly linked to communication. This takes place in various forms.

One of the oil of communication is an answer. An Answer to a question requiring explanations or an answer to a simple request. In essence, it can simply be concluded that an answer is important in moving a relationship forward.

As this takes in human relationship, the same holds in Spiritual relationship. This became glaring in the competition that took place between Prophet Elijah and Four hundred and fifty Prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel in the land of Israel in Bible days.
The lone Prophet challenged them with,
"[24]Then call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the lord. The god who answers by setting fire to the wood is the true God!” And all the people agreed." 1 Kings

Finally, it was the God of Elijah Who answered by fire and showed all the people that He was, and still is, the true God. Can you see clearly this truth that an answer is important in every relationship?

Devout reader, the Lord also appreciates the value of an answer. That is the reason He said in Jeremiah 33:3,
"[3]Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.". Note that every question deserves a right answer. "Ask" in the quoted verse was promised a "tell" which is an "answer". That God for you.

In the book of Hosea 2:21-22, the Holy Scriptures disclose,
[21]“In that day, I will answer,”
    says the lord.
“I will answer the sky as it pleads for clouds.
And the sky will answer the earth with rain.
[22]Then the earth will answer the thirsty cries
of the grain, the grapevines, and the olive trees.
And they in turn will answer,
    ‘Jezreel’—‘God plants!’
God promises that He will answer when we, His people call. This means that the network of God's provision never fails. Any reluctant channel is quickly replaced.
"[12] I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.
[13]You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.
[14]Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!" John.
Those are the words of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God echoing the words of His Father Who worked together with Him and Whose glory He sought. Doing something at the request of another person is an answer. The Lord promised it.

Before I draw this part to conclusion, let me point out a salient truth closely associated with receiving an answer. This truth is revealed in the Book of Hosea 2:21. The phrase is, "In that day, I will answer,”
This simply translates that whatever you request from the Lord will receive an answer from the Lord in the chosen day and even time because the Lord does everything slowly, steadily and surely. In order words, God does His things perfectly.

Therefore, if any question or request is presented to the Lord, it is very important that patience is involved to receive a perfect answer from Him.
