Though Now I Must Wait
by Angela M. Baker-Bridge Angry is he. Broken and torn. Weathered by life. Forever to mourn? Consumed with pain. Not seeing the sun. Drowning in grief. Wishing it done. No peace has he. No purpose or drive. No joy running over. No reason to strive Searching for truth. Crawling along. Enlightened perhaps. Looking forlorn. "If only," I think. A rescuer am I. The decision is his. To heal or to die. Familiar his path. For once, it was mine. Though now I must wait. Not crossing his line. To lend him a hand. And lead him along. Until we can sing. His victory song. 09-15-01 _____________________________ Married to a minister for 30-yrs, Angela has two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons.
