When Those Heavy Feelings Hit You
by Tonja Taylor

14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.--Isaiah 54:14, KJV

"Oppression" is bondage of soul (mind, will, emotions).  However, when we know Jesus Christ as our Savior and LORD by believing in His blood shed for us on the cross, we gain an eternal blood Covenant with many promises!

One of those is that we will be far from oppression--far from such bondage! Hallelujah!

The enemy is a thief and a liar, and doesn't want us to know this. But we can proclaim our freedom, and, the moment the heavy and/or disturbing feelings start niggling at us (fear, worry, doubt, guilt, shame, blame, judgment, sin-consciousness, regret, etc. etc.), we have the right by the blood of Jesus covering us to tell the devil to shut up in Jesus' Name, and to remind him that we are free indeed!

Jesus is The Liberator! He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)! He is our Freedom!

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.--John 8:32, KJCV

So don't just sit there and let that heavy junk come over you. Ask the LORD to help you recognize and reject and renounce it more quickly, in Jesus' name, and to give you the peace that only He can give!

He will!

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.--John 16:33, KJV
