Dusty bible and pill bottle
by Toni Rittenhouse

Have you ever known someone who completely freaked out if you lay something on top of a bible? How often was the layer of dust on it more distracting than the item you placed on it? They have a reverence for the outer cover, but not for what is contained within! The outer cover can't save their soul, breathe health into a dying body, walk them into a closer relationship with Jesus or soothe a troubled soul.

The treasure is within the pages, a guide to lead you to the goal of a lifetime. A map to help you around the mountains of life and the rivers of destruction. Sadly, that pile of dust tells you a lot. The person who owns it values its representation more than its author. I've been told, "How do you know that some things weren't left out since King James had it redone? There are a lot of things that weren't included you know? Think about that statement.  God who created everything from nothing, Jesus who raised the dead, rose from the dead and did miracles everywhere he went, isn't able to control one man? Was King James stronger than God or Jesus? I am sure if you think about that, you know God knew exactly what we needed for this day and age.

A dusty bible is like a man who is dying. In his hand he has the medication to cure him. Instead of opening the container, he just looks at the bottle laying on top of the table week after week. Dust accumulating but refused to open the bottle and take from within it what can save his life.

Just me.
