The Liaison
by Tonja Taylor So then, brethren, consecrated and set apart for God, who share in the heavenly calling, [thoughtfully and attentively] consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest Whom we confessed [as ours when we embraced the Christian faith].--Hebrews 3:1, AMPC Liaisons are people who serve as intermediaries between two other individuals or groups, to bring about a positive result. Jesus Christ is the ultimate eternal Liaison! The Bible defines a liaison, and "intermdeiary": Now a go-between (intermediary) has to do with and implies more than one party [there can be no mediator with just one person]. Yet God is [only] one Person [and He was the sole party in giving that promise to Abraham. But the Law was a contract between two, God and Israel; its validity was dependent on both].--Galatians 3:20, AMPC When we hear of another's need or desire, and work to make it happen, we serve as a liaison. When we communicate a message that needs to be communicated to another person or group, we serve as a liaison. When we pray for others to God the Father, through our faith in the shed blood of Christ for us, we serve as a liaison. Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving.--Colossians 4:2, AMPC Jesus is the ultimate Liaison, for it is He that speaks to the Father God on our behalf. We pray through Him to the Father, but it is really Jesus the Christ Who receives our prayers and takes them to the Father, so we may be forgiven and cleansed and restored. Hallalujah! So it is evident that it was essential that He be made like His brethren in every respect, in order that He might become a merciful (sympathetic) and faithful High Priest in the things related to God, to make atonement and propitiation for the people’s sins.--Hebrews 2:17, AMPC Hallelujah! Jesus the Righteous represents us the righteous ones (made righteous only by our faith in the shed blood of Christ on the cross) to the Father, Who is eager to hear and answer our prayers! Father God is a good, good Father, and He inspires us to ask for things that are in His will. Like any truly loving Father, He will not give us things that would harm us--even if they look good to us--for He knows all things. He also has a way of changing our desires to match His, for He alone Who created us knows exactly what and whom will bring us the most influence, prosperity, and satisfaction for His Kingdom. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].--Mark 11:24, AMPC Through books, courses, presentations, service, prayer, worship, and more, Tonja and her husband live to exalt God.
