Essential Oils Can Help You Get Odors Out of Clothing
by Tonja Taylor A generous sister at church gives me clothes, and they are nice. But sometimes they smell like dryer sheets or perfume, and I don't like that--especially since I learned of the toxic chemicals in them, and ditched them years ago! So, even after washing these clothes (although I'm sure they were clean to start with) with allergen-free washing liquid, they still had some of the smell I didn't like. I didn't have the product made specifically to spray on clothing to remove smells, but I did have disinfectant, in "White Linen." That helped a bit. But I needed more to overcome the smells I didn't like in the clothing. I asked the LORD about it (He knows everything!), and had the idea to rub essential oils whose smell I did like (Not all of them smell good, although all are beneficial when used the right way!), into my hands, then lightly press them into the clothing, from the inside out. Just to be fair, pure essential oils have not left any stains that remained after a wash on clothing when I've spilled them or otherwise accidentally touched them to any of my garments. Also, the more pure the oil, the less there will be carrier oils added. Even then, usually carrier oils are something like grapeseed, jojoba, or coconut oils, all of which are natural and technically should not leave a stain either, at least when washed. Through books, courses, presentations, service, prayer, worship, and more, Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. Her series for girls, P.O.W.E.R. GIRL ADVENTURES, is now out (books I-V), along with LEGACY; YOUR HOLY HEALTH: VISIONS OF THE KING, and more. See the "River Rain Creative" YT channel. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
