God is Explicit!
by Tonja Taylor

God is the Spirit of Truth, and He is also a good, good Father. He is the Father of every human.

He is Love (I John 4:8), and His Love is pure--manifested most of all in the LORD Jesus Christ, His One and only Son Whom He sent to earth to live, die on the cross--to pay our sin debt--and to rise again three days later. Then He went back to Heaven and sent His Holy Spirit, so He could be every where at once, and more importantly, in the heart of every true Believer in Him.

Although He is a God of mysteries, He is very explicit (a term the world and enemy uses the wrong way, for wrong purposes)--very clear--on what He expects of us. All through the Bible, He gives us explicit standards for successful living, staring with the Ten Commandments, and going throughout the Old Testament and all the way through Revelation!

Every true Believer in Christ Jesus wants to please God. How do you do that? By understanding that, once you received Jesus, He took your putrid ragged clothes of sin, and gave you His Robe of  Righteousness and the Garment of Salvation (Isaiah 61:10)!

That--your faith that He truly did that the moment you received Him in your heart as Savior and LORD to forgive and cleanse you of your sin (John 3:15-17)--is the only thing that truly works for you to please God!

Just as you belong to an earthly family, because you were born into it, so you even more truly belong to the Royal Family of the Kingdom of God, when you are born again by your faith in Christ! Hallelujah!

Next, because you are a citizen of Heaven, you have laws and other rules to abide by, just as you do in an earthly family, and just as any citizen of any city or state does.

There are blessings for being obedient to the laws and rules, and penalties and punishments for disobedience.

The LORD is very clear on every issue of life! His will is not hidden; that's a lie! His will is very clear! His Word is His will.

If you don't know what to do on a certain subject or time in life, ask the LORD for wisdom. He promises to give it to you abundantly, if you just ask!

If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of a]">[a]the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or   faultfinding, and it will be given him.--James 1:5, AMPC

If you cannot find a subject in the index of the Bible you have (or perhaps it doesn't even have an index, like some of the versions my husband and I have), then get online and go to an online Bible. There, you can type just about any subject in the search line. If that Bible won't bring it up, just Google the subject, in quotes, and add "Scripture." You will almost always get several examples of what you're looking for!

God is for you, and loves it when you seek Him and His Word. He only wants to help you! He loves you, and He will make things very clear to you. Sometimes, it may seem like things are cloudy or fuzzy, but rest assured that He is good, and He will help you understand all you need to understand!

You can totally trust Him! After all, you already totally trust Him when you sleep--or you'd never sleep!

He is faithful and good, forever!  Keep walking with Him, and know that He has only your good in mind. Whatever the enemy throws at you, know that your Heavenly Father will work it for your good, when you have received His Son, Jesus (Genesis 50:20 and Romans 8:28)! Even before you receive Him, know this: every good thing in your life comes from Him!

But you don't have to take my word for it! Cry out to Him, and He will answer you and show you. Then you will know for yourself, and no one will be able to persuade you otherwise!

Through books, courses, presentations, service, prayer, worship, and more, Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. Her series for girls, P.O.W.E.R.
