He will fulfill the desires of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them. The Lord preserves all those who love Him, but all the wicked will He destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord; and let all flesh bless (affectionately and gratefully praise) His holy name forever and ever.--Psalm 145:19-21, AMPC

We love to read about how the LORD--Who is good and all good (John 1:5-10, 3 John 1:11)--hears and answers and helps and saves us. He does, and willingly!

As a well-known pastor once stated (to paraphrase), "If God didn't want to help us, He would have just done.......nothing! He never would have sent Jesus, and we'd all have gone to hell!"

Speaking of hell (a very real place, although only created for the devil and his demons!), when the Word of God speaks of God "destroying the wicked," etc., what that means is this: He simply takes His mighty Hand of protection off of them, because they continue to rebel against Him and refuse to repent. Then the enemy (satan, one of whose names is The Destroyer)

For God did not [even] spare angels that sinned, but cast them into hell, delivering them to be kept there in pits of gloom till the judgment and  their doom.--2 Peter 2:4, AMPC

The bottom line is, once we receive Jesus Christ, His Son, as our Savior, and LORD, then God becomes our Father--and our Covenant God, Yahweh. His Covenant He will not break, neither will He alter the things that have gone out of His lips (Psalm 89:34). Hallelujah!

We bless and affectionately praise Him, for the LORD is good, and His mercy endures forever!

Thank Him for all His goodness to you, and if you can't think of much, ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind many things God has done for you. You will be amazed--and refreshed--as you rehearse His goodness to you, which includes destroying your enemies and setting you in Heavenly realms to rule with Him!
