Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. Rebecca was so tired, but as she did every night, she was determined to rock little Zoe to sleep as she prayed over her.

She finished her prayers, and enjoyed the stillness. This feels so good, thought Rebecca. Little Z is asleep, so time for bed!

Zoe raised her head of soft blond curls. Startled, Rebecca froze.

"Don't stop pwayin', Becca!" Zoe said, then put her litlte head down and went back to sleep.

Did I just imagine that? Rebecca thought, staring at her sleeping doll.

She carefully sat back down and started rocking again, willing herself to be more awake. LORD, I don't have anything else to pray. Maybe lil' Zoe just wanted to be rocked some more. And that's fine.

So she rocked, and hummed, and just focused on God. Help me, LORD, to stay awake as long as I need to.

After a few minutes, several things came to mind, and she started whispering prayers to Him.

They just kept coming.

Wow, it's like water breaking through a wall! she thought. Of course the LORD knew I was not done, and He used this little precious to help me!

Tears flowed with the prayers. Before she knew it, she was surprised at how many things were pouring out of her! They seemed to come from a deeper place this time.

Deep calls to deep, she heard the Holy Spirit say sweetly in her heart.

Thank You, Father! I love you! she answered inside. You knew I needed to get that stuff out, and thank You for the answers that are coming!

She rose again with Zoe, and this time, her darling didn't stir. She laid Zoe in the bed and pulled the sheet and quilt over her. The little girl moved a bit, but didn't wake.

"Thank You, LORD," Rebecca said, walking to the next room. She turned off the light and got in bed. "You are so good, Faithful Father! Thank You for always helping me! Please give Miss Zoe that sweet sleep You promise in Your Word, and me too. We love You!"
