I have really enjoyed having the excellent GPS system in my 2014 car. I worked a traveling sales job for months, and used it often.

Whenever I decided to override the GPS--when I truly knew the way and didn't need the instruction--it would not chide me, nor get angry. It would continue repeating the instruction calmly, until I either agreed with it or turned it off. 

The system was politely insistent that it would get me where I needed to go. Also, there were almost always at least two options of routes to take, and it would give me a detailed list, as far as it knew. Sometimes, however, it would say, "Unnamed road."

There were only a couple of times in a hundred trips or so that it led me slightly off, such as down a dirt road as a shortcut. I don't do dirt roads in unfamiliar areas, so I'd back up and get back on a state road or such.

However, the LORD our God, our Good Shepherd, will never lead us wrong. He is always Right; He is Righteousness! He will never miss it.

His Holy Spirit is the God Positioning System! 

He knows all things, sees all things, and is forever working with us to lead us to our best lives and our best selves. He loves us. 

Our job is to listen and obey His instruction, for in His love He is always trying to protect us from harm and trouble and lead us to victory and abundance. 

Just like I can drown out the voice of the GPS in the car, I can be too involved in the things of the world, or even worry or pride or selfishness, etc., or other people's opinions, and drown out the voice of my Father Who only wants the best for me--and sacrificed His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:15-17), so that I could have Zoe life!
