My husband and I have, since early in our marriage (15 years Oct. 1, 2020!), prayed for each other daily, and even better, prayed with each other daily. 

We have learned many Scriptures through the years, and as the Holy Spirit brings them up, we speak them over each other.

This is very powerful for many reasons.

The LORD also showed us how to make it even more powerful: We hold each other closely, in a warm embrace, usually standing (because we do this in the mornings, before we part for our work), and share kisses as well.

If you are not comfortable with this, you could sit together and hold hands or something. The LORD will guide you. Be open to how He leads, for He knows you and your spouse intimately. Most of all, be thankful that your spouse will pray with you! This is one of the deepest signs of true intimacy and unity with your husband or wife that is available on earth!
