Your Mystery Is A Ministry
by Olawale Ogunsola

"For in that He Himself has suffered being tempted,
He is able to aid those who are tempted." Hebrews 2 :18. New King James Version (NKJV).

A common expression coming from people, especially those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, is "Why me Lord" when something unpleasant happens to them. It happens to them as a mystery. There is no gain saying the truth that there are mysteries in life, some are avoidable while some are not because they are divinely designed and arranged. No matter how wise a man may be, he will undergo or experience his portion of life mysteries. While Job was going through his own portion of life's mysteries, he has this to say to generations after him,
"Is there not a time of hard service
For man on earth?
Are not his days also like the days
Of a hired man?
So I have been alloted months of futility,
And wearisome nights have been
appointed to me." Job 7:1,3 NKJV.

These are truth about every mortal man's life. Each has been alloted his own portion in various forms and times.

So, you have your own!

One essential truth you should not fail to recognise is the fact that your life's mystery has been divinely designed and arranged to fit into your God-given assignment on earth. You can call it a systematic way of grooming you for the ministry you are here to fulfil. Bearing this in mind will give you enough strength to bear the burdens brought by any mystery on your way in life. Not only this, it will call your total attention to every lesson there is to learn.

In the same vein, if you embrace your pass-through as a preparation for your ministry, it will afford you the opportunity to concentrate on your Maker and to rely on His help alone and those of the people. He may have raised for you in such a time. You will not foolishly accuse God of what He did not plan for you. What do I mean. A pass-through is not in any way to destroy you, no matter how hot it may be. You will not condemn Him but have the faith to praise Him during a hard time.

Please, pay attention to these words about Jesus Christ, who is our best pattern,
"For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted. He is able to aid those who are tempted." Hebrews 2:18.

A man who has not been tempted in one form or another will not have a sympathy for someone who is being tempted or has fallen into antics of his tempter, Satan. Such an untempted man will be readily available to condemn a tempted man. He will not hesitate to carry out a strong verbal and / or physical attack on a victim.

That is why Apostle Paul, a man who had experienced so many mysteries of life, has this to say, "Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any
tresspass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering lest you also be tempted." Galatians 6:1.

If you have undergone a life's mystery or you are in it as at now, do not brood too much on it. Learn all the necessary lessons, lean on your Creator alone to be able to go through it safely. Wait patiently for the appointed period for you. When it is over, you will then be ripe for use in the hands of your God for your Ministry.

At this point, whenever you come across those who are having the same experience you went through, you will know what to do to assist them, no matter their number and they will be thankful for coming across you in their life journey.

You will be in a position to assist others with the kind of assistance you have received and more than you now have available but which you were not able to access during your hard time of life.

Whatever might be your life's mystery, do not grumble, fumble, murmure or complain against God. Recognise His presence in the journey of your life. He is your permanent Companion and Helper, He will be with you until the end. You will have sweet stories to tell and good lessons to learn and be able to pass same to others.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
