Thought:  Broadcast over every TV network was the wedding of Princess Diana. It was a Cinderella story played out in real life. As a child of God, the coming King,  you to have inherited the status of royalty (John 1:12,13).”But to all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God.  All they needed to do was to trust him to save them.  All those who believe this are reborn—not a physical rebirth resulting from human passion or plan—but from the will of God.” 

When we embrace Jesus as our Lord and Savior we also have the title of priests     ( 1 Peter 2:9,10)  “but you are not like that, for you have been chosen by God himself—you are priests of the King, you are holy and pure, you are God’s very own—all this so that you may show to others how God called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” Old testament priests were allowed into the holy of holies once a year where the presence of God resided.  A heavy curtain separated the priests from this sacred place.  We as royalty and priests have access to God’s throne of grace and presence moment by moment (Heb. 10:1920) “and so dear brothers (sisters), we may walk right into the very Holy of Holies where God is because of the blood of Jesus.  This is the fresh, new, life giving way which Christ has opened up for us by tearing the curtain—his human body—to let us into the holy presence of God.”

Jesus is also preparing a celebration meal when the bride (church) is re-united with the groom (Jesus).  This celebration will outshine princess Diana’s wedding.

It’s like the story of the ten bride’s maids. Five were prepared with their lamps burning and five were not.  They had run out of oil and while they were gone the bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast and the door was locked.  “So, stay awake and be prepared for you do not know the date or moment of my return. “ 

Who is the bridegroom?  None other then the creator God (Jesus) who made all there is.  “Christ is the exact likeness of the unseen God.  He existed before God made anything at all, and in fact, Christ himself is the Creator who made everything in heaven and earth, the things we can see and the things we can’t, the spirit world with it’s kings and kingdoms, it’s rulers and authorities, all were made by Christ for his own use and glory (Col. 1:15,16).”

 Are you ready for the coming bridegroom?  Are your lamps filled with oil (Holy Spirit)?  He’s coming soon to take His children out of the world (rapture) before the 7 year judgement falls upon the Earth and you don’t want to be left behind.

Prayer:  Father God, you are all things to me, father, brother, friend, Savior and coming King.  Thank you for my salvation through Christ and the blessed hope for a brighter future as my life goes on for an eternity with you and my loved ones that have passed on.  Amen 

Verse:  Col. 2:8,9,10 “Don’t let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men’s thoughts and ideas, instead of on what Christ has said. For in Christ there is all of God in a human body, so you have everything when you have Christ and you are filled with God (Holy Spirit) through your union with Christ.  He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power.”
