As one who had been a complainer most of my life, I had to ask myself, OK, WHAT do I really want? WHAT would make me truly happy? WHAT would give me rest and peace?

So I made a list. Some of the things on that list were: (1) doing nice things for others like sending goodies and notes in the mail, which gives me great joy (2) surprising people with words of thanks and encouragement--especially through the mail ( I have made MORE lifelong friends and allies that way, simply by sending a thank you card!), and (3) dwell upon the goodness of the LORD, especially by worshiping to music that glorifies Christ and reading and speaking His Word; the more at peace I am. 

I just had to spend $500 on my car the past couple weeks. Yet God has given me joy and peace.  He worked everything so that certain minor problems would be found and corrected at a reasonable price, to prevent more serious problems later, including a potential breakdown while my little girl and I were traveling.

God is GOOD GOOD GOOD!

 He has helped me be content in my circumstances in every area of my life. Only GOD can do that, and He can only truly do that IF we give Him complete control of our lives!

How do we do that? Our words are more powerful than we usually have known; we simply say, "Master, please take control of my life. Thank You that You will showme the right ways to go. You are faithful to order my steps and direct my paths."

Then we watch and listen and do what we know to do in accordance with the Word, and make changes when we know He is leading us to change. He gives us grace and wisdom to make those changes, and we know He works all things for our best and His glory, because we love Him and are the called (Romans 8:28). 

We choose daily, hourly, to trust Him. After all, it is HIM Who gives us every breath. He is faithful forever, and His plans for us are good! (Jeremiah 29:11;John 10:10,  Ephesians 2:10 and Ephesians 3:20)

Instead of complaining, we can ask Him to help us be thankful. Thanksgiving is a big deal with the LORD, Who has given us every good thing in our lives, amen! When we are thankful, we feel so much better, and realize that billions of people would LOVE to live our blessed lives every day!
