"But did He not make them one,
Having a remnant of the spirit?
And why one?
He seeks godly offspring,
Therefore take heed to your spirit,
And let none deal treacherously
with the wife of his youth. Malachi 2:15. New King James Version (NKJV).

Every right wife is the remnant of her husband's spirit. Note that I am not talking of a perfect wife but a right wife for the right husband, at the right time. Such couple must have been joined together by their God. The Holy Scriptures states in Mark 10:9. Thus,
"Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man separate. "

Do you know that those who have been so joined can put their home asunder themselves? This has happened before and can still do if care is not taken. One of such things that can cause a husband and wife to break their pot of joy is incompatibility. Does it sound funny?

Do not forget the fact that a (young) man and a (young) woman coming together as husband and wife come from different backgrounds. There is nothing they can do, the difference is there. They were born with it or acquire it during their growth years. This happens in every home. This is what I call incompatibility. With this inborn or acquired traits, what can we do to avoid its breaking the home? What are the ways out?

THE WAYS OUT
It is a common saying among Mathematicians that, "The solution to a mathematical equation is built up in that equation." So it is with incompatibility in Marriage, where there is love indeed. What do I mean. A thorough analysis of the special difference between a couple will reveal the way out of the logjam taking place in such a home. Analysing and careful examination of the objects of difference will user in the right solution. Let us examine some ways out of certain incompatibilities in a home.

1. Feminine fingers : You can replace the word feminine fingers with the word, "catering". Let me give an example to illustrate this.
I hate eating meat since the time I was young. I hate it for two reasons :
I. Many pieces of meat are too tough for my liking. I did not see any reason why I should "punish" myself at every meal time. So I preferred fish. 

II. Eating meat always leaves remnant hanging on my teeth after meals. So I have to battle with this for many minutes sometimes hours, to eliminate them. I saw no need for this also.

Contrarily, my wife is a lover of meat, yet we have to live together and eat together. This little difference is strong enough to destroy a home. Should we allow this? No!

I discussed with my wife those reasons and she assured me that she knows what to do that my complaints about meat will be missing in her prepared meals. I allowed her to do her best to confirm what she said. Do you know what? She made the promise good. When she prepares meals, every piece of meat that goes with it is soft enough to be eaten with ease. Little by little, I became a lover of meat. What a simple solution!

Do you know that where care is not taken a little obstinacy added by either of us can set our home ablaze? It can boomerang into anything bad. To God be the glory forever.

Another alternative to feminine fingers is this: If the husband loves fish and hates meat but the reverse is the case with the wife, they can cook both in a soup. The wife will buy a right quantity of meat that will give room for the purchase of the right quantity of fish to meet the need of her man. While the wife enjoys eating meat at meal times, her husband will joyfully eat fish that his soul loves. No cause for alarm.

You can call this feminine fingers a modified one . Why? This is because both boils down to the ability of the woman in the women's most powerful office, the kitchen. Any woman who fails in this office will incur great losses except she makes necessary amends in her ways.
