God has a plan for you
by Sue Darling Jeremiah 1:5. “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 29:11. “I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” We may not be called to be a prophet, as Jeremiah was, but God has a very special, out of the ordinary plan for all of us. If we let God have His way with us. Even all the babies that have been aborted, God had a beautiful plan for them too. So just because God has a wonderful plan for us, it doesn’t always come to pass through our disobedience. God has made everybody in His own image. We are very special to Him. I believe we are like Him in small ways. God is free of evil, but the similarities are things like we have emotions as He does. We have a free will, we can think, decide, feel, touch, create, explore, and experience all sorts of good things similar to what God can do. Except God can do infinitely more and better than us. We are His children and He wants us to hasten His Kingdom on earth through our calling. I believe we can miss our chances of doing what God is calling us to do, for many reasons. One of them we have to become so obedient that it becomes second nature to us. We will fall many times and have to repent, but overall our heart is in the right place. We must die to self-interest and be ready to discipline ourselves daily. And deliberately choose the will of God over our lives. If we really have God’s interest at heart, God will reveal to us at the right time our true calling. And it is going to be incredible. Others may not understand where you are going, but you will. It is usually something you are drawn to all the time. Like it is in your blood as they say. If we fail God in answering our calling, that is disobedience. People have lost their souls through being disobedient to their calling. The danger of course is not making it to heaven, when they die. Our calling isn’t an option. It is the will of God and we must obey at all cost. Matthew 7:21. ‘Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.’ God’s dream for you is bigger than your dreams are. Dreams that needs a miracle to accomplish is usually the case. God wants to show off His glory through you. You must make the habit of praying and let the Holy Spirit guide you. I think most of us have a real problem with being childlike and coming to God as a child would to a loving father. Our true Father is God Himself and He is often misinterpreted as a very strict aloof kind of a Father. It is easy to relate to Him as our God, but to see Him as our Daddy for most of us we need to visualise us in His arms more, laughing and playing with us. As we learn to be more trusting and childlike before Him, we will have a wonderful and powerful relationship with Him. I have a picture of a mother holding her baby boy and she is laughing with him. You see her pride in him so easily. It is hanging on my wall to remind me who made the hearts of loving parents. Loving parents are mirroring a little of God’s love for His children. We are made in His own image.
Prayer is so powerful and we need to pray for everybody not just our family. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
