HOW MAJESTIC IS OUR GOD WE WORSHIP
by Lupie Riley HOW MAJESTIC IS OUR GOD WE WORSHIP Freelance writer Lupie Riley Thought: We only see through the glass dimly. If we truly understood how great our God is we would fall on our knee’s and ask for mercy. The book of Colossians tells us that the Creator of all things came down to Earth as a human because God was sinless and there was no one else who could redeem mankind from the separation that was cause by the disobedience of our first parents, Adam and Eve. God in the person of the sinless Jesus was the sacrificial lamb that paid the price for our redemption. Think of it, the great I AM, creator of all there is took upon himself the sins of the world. He not only paid the price that we deserved but he also defeated death by his resurrection. No matter who you are or what you’ve done He offers forgiveness and eternal life in a place called Heaven. When our minds finally grasp the Truth of it all we see Jesus in an entirely different light. The suffering our Savior went through is described in Isaiah 52:15 “They shall see my Servant beaten and bloodied, so disfigured one would scarcely know it was a person standing there. So shall he cleanse many nations.” How can we ever disregard the significance of such a majestic person as this. There’s a song out that tells me how important I am to Jesus. “Like a rose trampled on the ground you took the fall and thought of me above all.” He knows us by name and loves us dearly. How majestic is the God we worship? He is our hope for a better life to come, our strength in times of trouble and someone who will be by our side no matter what the circumstance. We do not have to fear what the future holds if we have Christ as our Lord and Savior. Maranatha Prayer: Father God, it’s difficult for my mind to grasp your greatness and love you have for me. As the sacrificial lamb you paid the price for my sins and now I am on my way to Heaven. Amen Verse: Psalms 27:4 “The one thing I want from God, the thing I seek most of all, is the privilege of meditating in his Temple, living in his presence every day of my life, delighting in his incomparable perfections and glory.” Married 58 years, four children, nine grandchildren and three greats.
