Romans 5:8-9 1Thessalonians 1:10 1Thessalonians 5:9 The Tribulation period, both the first 3 years and the second, (called The Great Tribulation because things will get even more hell-like) will be the worst time the earth will ever see. The WRATH of GOD will be poured out on the earth. BUT believers are not appointed to Wrath, that tells us all those wonderful verses on the imminent return of our Lord present to us, a pre-trib Rapture. VERSES DEPICTING IMMINENCE
The imminent return of our Lord Jesus means nothing is prophesied to happen prior to that awe-inspiring event: THE RAPTURE, which means it can happen at any time and explains why even those who wrote the Bible were not crazy to expect His Appearing at any moment. Thus, how much more should we be looking for Him at this late hour! --The Bible calls believers "The Bride of Christ" in reference to the Rapture (Rev.19:7-9 & 21:2 and 2Cor.11:2). Therefore, if the Rapture isn't going to happen until after the Tribulation, wouldn't that make for a rather tragic engagement period for the Bride of Christ? Doesn't seem to fit in with the Character of God now does it? --Something else, common sense wise to consider: if we aren't taken out of here until after the Tribulation, then don't we go up and come right back down again? In Revelation we learn that the saints (that's us in Heaven) come back with Jesus to rule and reign with Him on the earth for 1,000 years. --The aforementioned Scriptures listed under verses depicting imminence describe a surprise visit from Jesus to the earth, but in Daniel 27 the exact number of days are given, thereby making the Tribulation time period clear, both it and the Day Jesus will come and set up His Kingdom on the earth. Once the tribulation period begins, the exact Day of Jesus Second Coming can be predicted. Thus, if not the Rapture, what could those verses on imminence possibly be referring to? --The Church is not mentioned after Revelation chapter 4 (because we are no longer here on the earth). --Noah and his family were safe inside the Ark before the first drop of rain fell and ALL those not inside the Ark, perished in the flood AND Jesus taught His Disciples that it would be like in the days of Noah in Matthew 24:37 Linzy is a certified Bible Counsellor, with countless republications on her viewers blogs, Bible Studies, Ezines and the like.
