VISIONS OF THE KING - I Love Jehovah Nissi My Defender
by Tonja Taylor But the Lord your God you shall [reverently] fear; then He will deliver you out of the hands of all your enemies.--2 Kings 17:39, AMPC Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are fearful [with the profound and reverent dread inspired by deity]; be not afraid of him, says the Lord, for [he is a mere man, while I am the all-wise, all-powerful, and ever-present God] I [the Lord] am with you to save you and to deliver you from his hand.--Jeremiah 42:11, AMPC This is one of the many visions God has given me of my Savior and Help and Shield and Rock, the LORD Jesus Christ! One of His many names (Many names, but one God! Isaiah 44:8; Isaiah 45:18; Deuteronomy 6:4; Malachi 2:10, James 2:19; Mark 12:29) is Jehovah Nissi. “And Moses built an altar and named it ‘The LORD is my Banner.” -Exodus 17:15, AMPC At first, I am tiny, on the ground with a dozen or so other people, and we are milling around in front of Jesus—Jehovah Nissi—who is standing behind us in brown leather battle gear, with His shining sword drawn. We are in a clearing in a wooded area somewhere. Suddenly, I am just overwhelmed with thankfulness, knowing He has (literally!) got my back and is protecting me from the enemy. I just have to express my thanks to Him! Still tiny, I run up His leg and up onto His right shoulder, and I stretch my (very little, compared to Him!) arms as wide as I can across His cheek. He is so big that His cheek is wider than my arms can reach! I just hug Him as much as I can to say "Thank You my LORD!" My truly awesome LORD turns His (huge) head and looks down at me in such love with His big brown (in this vision) right eye, and a huge tear falls from His eye and envelopes me! I am in bliss; totally safe and secure and loved! The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower.--Psalm 18:2, AMPC Here is a song the LORD gave me in 2010 by that title:
JEHOVAH NISSI by Tonja K. Taylor (to be sung in a minor key, with deepening confidence and intensity as the song progresses0
