Bee 1 & Bee 2
by louis gander Bee 2 was dear friends to Bee 1 that short summer. They spent their best days buzzing so closely over, The sweet golden nectar that they were collecting In fun competition, sought who could be faster, For, far in the distance, they both were ignoring, It leveled so quickly the clover and grasses, They noticed it passing, but had paid it no heed - Bee 1 hurt so bad it put 2 in depression. Though neither had noticed when that mower arrived, It seems so unfair that disaster was lurking, Bee 2 was so sad he cried teardrops of honey. We run life's race fast - but out of reach, that baton, Is God so unfair when our work here is over? Copyright 2021 by louis gander. Poetry for sermons, story poems and more...
