Thought: How often have we looked up into the heavens on a clear, starry night and been in awe at the sight we see? Thousands upon thousands of bright shiny stars and planets are before our eyes. Recently, Nasa pointed their telescope Hubble to the Deep Field in space and what they observed took their breath away. Their research called XDF (2012) revealed a myriad of faint galaxies estimated at around 200 billion to 2 trillion. They were peering through just a small section of the universe and recent studies revealed the same beyond that and it seemed like there was no end. Our own Milky Way has 200-4 billion stars . How great is our God!

Psalms 147:4 tells us the great "I AM" creator of all things decided on the number of stars and has a name for each one. Inconceivable. His biography also tells us He lives in eternity with no end so he see's the picture of our lives from beginning to end all recorded in his book of life. How can we not trust this God we worship who promises He will never leave us and imparts strength, wisdom and peace in our times of need.

David once raised the question "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and stars, which thou hast ordained, what is man that thou are mindful of him? and the son of man that thou attend him?" "I, your creator who named the stars, knows your name and very number of hairs on your head." How great is our God! Next time we stare up at the heavens on a starry night, give the Creator the praise he deserves. Maranatha

Prayer: Father God, you are an awesome God who cared enough about me to send Jesus who free'd me from the bondage of sin. You revealed yourself through this man called Jesus so mankind could once again have fellowship with you and be called your children. Amen
