Wisdom promises to give you long life. Walking in wisdom keeps you from doing things that will jeopardize your life. She keeps you healthy and sound. She orders your footsteps aright and ensures that you don't fall into the traps of the enemy.

2. Riches

Wealth accompanies those who walk in wisdom. When you follow the instructions of God concerning money, riches will follow you. So don't run after riches, run after wisdom and riches will run after you.

3. Honour

This means high respect or great esteem. Walking in wisdom confers these on you. You don't demand for respect but you earn it as you walk in wisdom. Having her commands respect from people and they will hold you in high esteem.

4. Pleasantness

The ways of wisdom are ways of pleasantness.  She makes you socially accepted and your ways pleasing, enjoyable and agreeable to people. She gives you pleasure.

5. Peace

Peace is very important, in your going out and coming in. Wisdom of God gives you both internal and external peace. Walking in wisdom gives you all round peace, with yourself and other people.

6. Tree of life

When you take hold of wisdom, she becomes a tree of life to you. You will have hope of eternal life, positive energy and a bright future. Like a tree, even if you are cut down, you are sure of a new start in life again. Also, as a tree grows and is strong, so will you grow and be strong too. Furthermore, as a tree bears seeds that will grow to be like it, even so will wisdom cause you to be fruitful and bring forth children of your kind.

7. Grace to your neck

As ornament is to the neck so will wisdom be grace to your neck. She will be obvious for people to see and admire. She will reflect in your life and not be hidden. People will learn wisdom from you and radiate as you do.

8. Safety

Wisdom ensures that your path is safe for you to walk and your foot not to stumble. She will not lead you through a danger zone and if you find yourself in one, she will lead you out of it. She will also ensure that you dwell in safe places and without any unpleasant feelings.

9. Sound sweet sleep

Wisdom makes you to lie down and sleep soundly without fear. She helps you to sleep off once you hit your bed to sleep with no anxiety or troubled sleep. She would have directed your activities during the day and so when you sleep, you rest well.

10. Glory

Walking in wisdom will cause you to inherit glory and not shame. You will enjoy the presence of God all around you and great praise by common consent of people.

King Solomon enjoyed all these benefits all through the time he walked in wisdom. He had wealth more than any other king before and after him. He didn't fight any war because he had peace all through his life time. He dwelt in safety and had no cause for alarm from any corner. He was greatly honoured and accepted by all men, including other kings. His wisdom was evident for all to see, admire and emulate. The glory bestowed upon him was awesome. However, when he started walking in foolishness, shame and reproach came on him and his family. His ways were no more pleasant, peace departed from him and 10 tribes of Israel rejected his family to rule over them any more.
