Thought: If you ever wrote a biography of your life what legacy would you say your leaving behind when you come to the end of your life. What would be your life's contributions to your family, friends, co-workers and those around you? I'm in the winter years of my life and as I reflect back on the high's and low's I think about my response to them all. Who or what is my stabilizer when I walk through the valleys? I would have to say it is my personal relationship with Jesus, my Lord and Savior. He gives me strength to make it through the hard times and peace in my every-days.
The Bible is a biography of the God/man Jesus. He's recorded in the Old Testament as well as the New. It speaks of his short journey and mission that made an impact on the world that is hard to describe. It's witnessed in the changed lives of millions that have taken the Bible as Truth and invited Christ into their lives. The main theme of this God/man Jesus is very simple and easy to understand. He came into this world to be that one time sacrifice for sin...he defeated death and rose from the grave three days later...and he's coming again as Kind of Kings and Lord of Lords to rule for 1,000 years. If one believes the gospel story in His Book, who he was, why he came and his future coming and invites Him (in Spirit) to be a part of their life they become God's children and a part of his family.
If you have ever felt lonely you are never alone in Jesus presence. He will be your strength, counselor and redeemer the rest of your life. He promises never to leave us nor forsake us. We can always count on Him to be there no matter what the circumstance. It's a matter of believing the gospel story about our Lord and Savior. Invite him into your life today and you will know what the truth of His Word is all about. You will truly be able to live your life to the fullest in His will. Maranatha Prayer: Father God, Jesus has paved the way for me to address you as Father, God of all Creation. Now I know what it is like to have a true family in those who by faith, believed your Word and chose you to be in the center of their life. Thank you Father for this great privilege it is to know you and love you for who you are and what you've done for me. Amen
Verse: Rom. 10:9 (KJ) "That if thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shall be saved. v.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation. "
