Thought: How many times have we walked by a transient begging for money or food? Did our thoughts drift to a pour soul who lived in despair without hope? We see this picture everyday in the big city's and it's becoming increasingly worse. These individuals have lost all their purpose for living and they just exist from day to day. What a sad state of affairs for them. Of greater concern to me is the number of our youth that choose to take their own life because they have lost hope for a better one in the future .
I believe the contributors to this dilemma is the teaching of evolution in our institutions of learning without the opportunity for critical thinking. At one point in history, President Eisenhower declared that the teaching of evolution should be increased in all our schools. What followed was that all Biblical references were banned in holiday and music programs. Prayer was outlawed and the destructive philosophy of relativism was the beginning of the brainwashing of thousands. It allowed the masses to create their own realism and truth as to what was right or wrong. They become their own God. An atmosphere of total chaos was the outcome, a life without our Creator God and Father.
The Word tells us that we who make the decision to invite Christ into our lives are more blessed then those who had the chance to walk, hear, touch and see him in person. We trust in him by faith alone. Having Jesus in our life gives us purpose for living and an eternal life in the hereafter...a future.
Evolution and so called 'religions' of the world give us a dead end, no hope for a better world to come with Jesus as King for a 1,000 year rein. The world cannot end or this truth will become a fantasy. If we don't share the Word with our children it is no wonder they lack purpose and nothing to look forward to. The world is changing at a rapid pace and our leaders of tomorrow, our youth, need this confidence that their future will be better not only for the world but for their eternal destination through their faith in Jesus who is the only way back to God. This HOPE and faith in Christ is the sustainer of all life on Earth.
Prayer: Father God, You are the bread of life and the light that lights my pathway, the lamb that was sacrificed for all my sins. HOPE is found in you and you alone. My heart will forever trust in you. Amen
Verse: Heb. ll:1-2 " WHAT IS FAITH? it is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we HOPE for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. Men of God in days of old were famous for their faith."
