Be Holy, as I am Holy
by Trudy Belle

Friends, I sense in my spirit that there are many all around the world who want to break free of the entrapment of this world and become holy. It is the Lord God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit who draws us to holiness.

1 Peter 1:16 (KJV) 'Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.’

The Holy Spirit is moving all over the world and calling out to all who are thirsty for holiness. I invite you - come and surrender to God. If you can, kneel down wherever you are and offer Him your life. Ask Him to purify and make you holy.

Let's remember it is His call to be holy and He knows that we cannot do it on our own. He will do it all and complete the transformation.

What is our responsibility? There is a big list, but here are some pointers:

Turn away from sin. Cleanse our lives and rid ourselves of everything that is unbecoming as children of God. If we stand before the mirror, let us ask Him to show us what we need to change. As women, before we adorn our face with makeup and jewellery, let us remember His call to holiness. He may impress our hearts to stop wearing them  or keep it to a minimum. Before we step into a garment unbecoming to His holy Name, let us remember His call to holiness.

For men, may God speak to you and show you clearly what He wants you to change. Lord Jesus was an example of simplicity, what is He wanting to say to us today?

If we want to be holy, we have to stop looking at unholy things, even on TV, we have to stop swearing, stop  intoxicating drinks, smoking, recreational drugs, singing or hearing unholy songs, reading books that will make us unholy, separate from unholy company.

We also need to spend time in reflection and repentance, prayer and supplication, reading and meditating in the Word of God etc.

It is going to be a sacrifice – it may hurt but we need to show God we are serious. We cannot say we want to be holy and continue to live an unholy lifestyle.

We can also pray 'O God give me a deep hatred for sin and things that offend You. Help me, for I need You to do in me what I cannot do. Break my chains O Lord, set me free. Arise O Lord and take Your place in my life. I want to be holy, come and cause me to be holy, I need You....'

These are a few songs that we can sing as we seek His Face:

Be encouraged that the dissatisfaction you feel in your life is a call to holiness and a new pathway with God. He has a plan and purpose for your life and will use you as His chosen vessel to touch lives and be a living testimony to draw others to Him

I truly feel God is calling people who do not go to church or cannot go to church to start turning to Him in their homes and seek His Face.

A few years ago, during a church service, I distinctly heard that He wanted to reach people out of church. There are more people out of the church than within and believe His Spirit is moving all across the world calling individuals for ministry to the common man or woman on the streets.

Let us spend time and hear what His message is to each individual and let us not forget, it starts with a call to holiness.

I just received this Word:

Isaiah 43:19 King James Version (KJV)

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

May God bless and guide us.

In and through Christ my Lord and Saviour,

Trudy

John 14:6 KJV (emphasis added)
'Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me'
