Patience

Patience.
Exodus chapter 24. verse 18.
Moses entered the midst of the cloud as he went up to the mountain and Moses was on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights.
Matthew chapter 4. verse 1-2..
Look at the amount of time that Moses and Jesus spent fasting and waiting on God. They were waiting for the right time and moment, so that they could complete what it was that they were anointed to do. They waited on that voice from the throne of grace that would give them the command to complete their mission.
For Moses he would talk with God and receive the ten commandments. For Jesus the right time to face the devil, a body is at its lowest point when it goes forty days without food. You and I would say the we would need some food and drink before facing any test.
Not so, Jesus, he knew he would be challenged on that one by the devil. The result is history. But notice that Jesus was willing to be led by the spirit.
Moses was willing to wait on the timing of God. Both these examples point to the fact that we must be willing to be led by the spirit. And the patience to wait on the timing of God.
Sounds easy? i think not, we require patience and the ability to listen to that voice . But we have a comforter that will teach us and take us through these divine moments. What a thrill to know that the finest teacher in the universe is ours. If we have the patience to listen and move when he says so.
