END TIME PESTILENCES

Thought: Tornado’s, hurricane’s, floods, fires, earthquakes, solar flares, threats from N. Korea, EMP’s and Islamic terrorists leave us scratching our heads and asking ourselves “what on planet Earth is happening?” Could it be what the Word calls end time pestilences? It sure seems that way and it makes me think on those things in life that really count. Are we preparing treasures on Earth instead of heaven? What priorities in your life take up most of your time and attention?

This is how God’s Word describes the last days and end of grace. People will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappreciable, slanderous, without self control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness but denying its power (II Tim. 3:1-5). This condition seems to be the whole spectrum of our world today.

Perhaps the destruction coming upon the Earth is a forewarning of what’s yet to come as the world’s people turn their backs on God. Maybe it’s time for self-examination to see where were headed after this life is over. Could the Bible be the Truth? That’s a decision we all must make especially in the days we live in. It just might be the year our Lord returns (rapture) before the horrendous seven-year tribulation comes upon the world. It’s a simple matter of saying yes to Jesus, “I’m a sinner in need of forgiveness, please come into my life Lord Jesus.”

Prayer: Father God, you tell me not to fear what’s coming upon the Earth but to put our faith in you as your child that you will deliver us from the Evil that has fallen upon us. You are the great Comforter (Holy Spirit) and peace giver and I put my trust in you. Amen

Verse: Luke 21:ll,25,26,28 KJ “And great earthquakes shall be in divers (many) places, and famines and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.” V. 25,26, “And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. Men’s hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” V. 28 “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
