a lot to a ten-year-old,
to shove the others
back as they approached
and holding your own as they
attacked from all directions.

There goes Lee pushed aside
then Ricky and now
I am in peril as Kenny,
my best bud, grabs an arm
and swings me flying
to the bottom - -

time for me to taste
the prize of a fallen King.
