Whatever A Man Sows...
by Dinora Trujeque Do you know someone who's given himself up to sin? Did you know that before they started living that way, they knew that God exists, that their sin grieves Him, and that they deserve a punishment? When we read that unbelievers are spiritually dead and blind we think, "Poor guys, they are blind and dead; it's not their fault they cannot seek God." But God doesn't consider them innocent, because they've voluntarily rejected Him from the beginning. This is what God says about them in Romans 1: 1) That which is known about God is evident within them. 2) Even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks. 3) They exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. 4) They exchanged the truth of God for a lie. 5) They did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer. 6) Although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them. Every wayward sinner has gone through these steps: knowing there is a God, rejecting Him, acting against Him. The reason why they can't get out of their cycle of wickedness is because God has delivered them to sin: 1) Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity. 2) For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions. 3) And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper. God is a God of love, but He is also a God of justice and holiness. Homosexuality, wickedness, greed, evil, envy, fornication, deceit, murder and unrighteousness are all the result of the judgment of God on the wicked... a clear demonstration that God will not be mocked, and that whatever a man sows, this he will also reap...
