The Declarations of Man
by Jennifer Champion I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. (Revelation 2:3 ESV) Fifty-six signatures are on the Declaration of Independence dated July 4, 1776. They are representative of a unanimous decision of the people of the thirteen colonies that then comprised the united States of America. These men endured and they did it in the name of the Lord. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. They did not grow weary because they knew that no matter how they may be persecuted by the King of Britain, their fight was a good one. The Declaration of Independence clearly lists all the reasons why they were starting their own government and turning their back on the King. We would all be wise in reviewing their reasons and comparing them to our own government and national leadership today. He has refused his Assent to Laws the most wholesome and necessary for the public Good. When a leader such as a King or President begin to become inconsistent with their laws and only make those that satisfy the opinions of a few, they are not leading in a way that is necessary for the public good. Decisions under the leadership President Obama have done nothing but cause conflict in our country. Racial and religious tensions are on the rise. The Federal government is acting on its own and neglecting the voice of the people of each independent state. Our country is no longer an united one but a divided one. The laws of the Creator, God, are being tossed aside as though they are outdated and not applicable. It is very clear that our founding fathers, the fifty six that signed the Declarations of Independence believed and made their decisions based on God's law and not mans. We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. Christians in America are on the cusp of persecution unlike anything they have ever experienced in America. I encourage Christians to be patient and do not grow weary. Do not let the heavy hand of government or the pressures of a liberal people cause you to give up and give in to their ways. As the Presidential election is looming over us, I encourage each of you to research our many candidates. Please do not vote on a candidate just because of their race, sex or party. Do not vote on a candidate just because they promise to increase your money or lessen our hardships. Look at how each candidate has voted in the past. Look at what they stand for and if it is not line with the bible, turn from them and look to another. There are several websites where you can compare the candidates.
