What Kind of Man Should a True Father Be?
by Bruce Huff Considering what a True father should be, We simply describe what the world clearly sees - How he looks and acts and what he will say, As he lives life through every day. He deeply loves his children and wife, The best for their future is the goal of his life. Midst laughter and joy, through tears or in pain, in gratitude and love he praises God's Name. He's there to support and attentively listen, When with life's bitter tears our cheeks may glisten. His life is a book on whose pages we read, A blessed life if the Gospel we heed. His compassion for others knows no earthly bounds, Yet God's wisdom keeps his feet on the ground. Sacrifices he makes for those that he loves, Are second only to his Father Above. In return for all the things that he does, He only asks the gift of our love. What kind of man should a true father be? The answer seems quite clear to me. I have only to look for the Image of The Lord, That's reflected in my father's life, deeds and words! Copyright 2002 by Bruce A.
