CHAPTER ONE

GOD'S PURPOSE FOR YOUR HEALING

Healing is God's will for you. I want to show you how you can receive healing from God no matter the sickness or disease afflicting your mind or body.

If you are not yet a child of God by accepting Jesus into your heart then you must become a true child of God first.

I believe with T.L. Osborn that there is no use receiving healing from God, without becoming his child, so that he can give you more strength to serve the devil.

If you can become a child of God, then divine healing and health become your rights.

For seventeen long years, I suffered from nocturnal enuresis (night bed-wetting). I remember my father taking me to a medical doctor to help but it made little or no difference. I took some natural herbs but all to no avail.

All through both my primary and secondary school days, I suffered shame because of it. Being a boarding student, I became a laughing stock in my hostel among fellow students.

On August the tenth, 1993, roughly a month after I finished from that boarding secondary school, I became a child of God - I became born-again.

Immediately, I my life took on a new meaning. Without praying about it, I just noticed that nocturnal enuresis was gone forever from my life! Yeah, divine healing and health are my rights in Christ Jesus! Healing is for babes while health is for grown-ups!

If you want to become a child of God now, then say this confession:
"I choose to repent today. Also I choose to believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose up for my justification. The scripture says, "If you confess with you mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Therefore, I believe in Jesus with my heart and confess him as my Lord. Now, I am born- again (Amen)."

Now, let's look at the seven scriptural, practical steps to receive healing from God.

CHAPTER TWO

STEP 1: FORGIVE ANYONE WHO HAS OFFENDED YOU

Jesus said, "And when you stand PRAYING, if you HOLD ANYTHING AGAINST ANYONE, FORGIVE HIM, so that your father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your father who is in heaven forgive your sins" (Mark 11-26, NIV).

He also said, " FORGIVE, and you will be will be forgive "(Luke 6:37, NIV). The Greek words translated 'forgive' here means 'to let go, to release, to pardon, to free fully, to set free, to let go free, to detain no longer, to dismiss.'

In other words, he was saying, "If anyone has offended you and you hold him captive in the prison of your mind by holding anything against him then you have to release, pardon, let go of him."

But if you won't let him go free or free him fully from your heart, then you will be imprisoned and hindered by your own sins.

Unfortunately some people, especially believers who have been praying and believing for their healing are hindered from receiving because they don't forgive others.

Though that is not the only hindrance to receiving healing, deliverance or answers to our prayers generally, yet it's one of the major obstacles.

Notice that Jesus said in Mark 11:25, "And when you stand PRAYING, if you hold anything against anyone, FORGIVE him"

He linked forgiveness to prayer because he knew that unforgiveness will always hinder answers to prayers.

I remember the story of two women in a particular church. There was misunderstanding between them.

One of them had goitre (a diseased growth that makes the neck swollen). If either of them came to church earlier than the other and sat down, and the second one coming in later mistakenly sat next seat to the first woman, she would immediately get up in bitterness and hatred sitting elsewhere.

They were not on talking terms. They harbored malice towards each other. If they met each other somewhere, they would look in different directions without greeting. Unforgiveness was the name of the game.

But on a certain day in church, one of them left a seat when she discovered that her 'adversary' was sitting next to her.

Then the preacher who has been observing them stopped her and called them together. Their differences were forever settled. They forgave each other and were reconciled.

Then they hugged each other. And right there, the goitre in the neck of one of them disappeared. She was healed after dealing with unforgiveness!
CHAPTER THREE

STEP 2: RECEIVE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS

Apart from giving out forgiveness to others, you have to receive forgiveness into your own life. As a believer, you have received the remission of sins through the blood of Jesus. That's what makes you a child of God.

The Bible says, "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" Colossians 1:14 (KJV).

You see, the Greek word translated 'forgiveness' here is the word 'aphesis' which is better rendered as 'remission.'

Remission here actually means the taking away of the sin inherited from Adam (through the blood of Jesus): for that was what made everyone on earth a sinner.

But as many as have received this remission of sins are no longer sinners but believers. So a sinner needs remission of sins but a believer needs forgiveness of sins.

Now as a believer wanting to receive healing from God, you have to be sure you receive forgiveness from God, from others and from yourself.

RECEIVE FORGIVENESS FROM GOD

Your sins can definitely hinder your healing. God links healing to sin. Isaiah 33:24 reads, No one living in Zion will say, "I am ill (or sick)" and SINS of those who dwell there will be forgiven "(NIV).

Do you know that all believers in Christ have come to Mt Zion (Hebrew 12:22) where there should be no sickness because the people will have dominion over sin (Romans 6:14)?

In fact, when there was no sin in the world there was no sickness. Sickness only came because sin entered the world.

That was why Jesus said to the paralyzed man seeking healing, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." But when some religious folks challenged him (Jesus) in their hearts, he replied, "Which is easier to say,
'Your sins are forgiven or to say, Get up and walk? He said to paralyzed man, 'I tell you get up, take your mat and go home." And he was instantly healed (see Luke 5:17-26).

Also after healing the sick man who had lain by the pool of Bethsaida for thirty eight (38) years, he said to him, " Now you are well; don't sin as you did before, or something even worse may happen to you" (John 5:14 Living Bible).

James 5:15 (Living Bible) reads,
"And their prayer, if offered in faith, will heal him, for the Lord will make him well, and if his sickness was caused by some sin, the Lord will forgive him."

That doesn't mean that every sickness is caused by sin in the life of the person suffering. No But it does mean that you may need to receive forgiveness from God before you can receive healing for your mind or body.

You may need to repent of sins of omission or neglect (James 4:17) or sins of commission (Proverbs 24:9). All unrighteousness is sin (1 John 5:17).

God told the Israelites, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you" (Exodus 15:26).

In essence, God was saying, "If you obey me fully, you will live in good health (without any sickness or disease). But it you disobey me by indulging in sin, than I will permit sickness to come to you."

Now, how do you receive forgiveness from God if you have sinned against Him by rejecting his will for your life: running away to Tarshish like Jonah; having the love of money which is the root of all evils; indulging in sexual immorality, electoral malpractices, examination malpractices; forging certificate or documents; stealing money in church, in school or at office; refusing to pay your tithes and offerings and so on?

Proverbs 28:13 (KJV), "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso CONFESSETH and FORSAKETH them shall have MERCY."

Do you truly want God's mercy to bring healing to your mind or body? Then confess and forsake your sins.

1 John 1:8-10 (NIV) makes it clearer, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we CONFESS our sins, he is faithful and just and will FORGIVE us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives."

One of the Greek words translated 'sin' means 'to miss the mark.' So where have you missed the mark in your life?

RECEIVE FORGIVENESS FROM OTHERS
In step one, we looked at giving forgiveness to those who have offended you. But now, we are looking at receiving forgiveness from those whom we have offended.

Jesus said, "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother HAS SOMETHING AGAINST YOU LEAVE YOUR GIFT there in front of the altar. FIRST GO and be RECONCILED to your brother, then come and offer your gift" (Mathew 5:23-24).

I love how the Living Bible puts verse 24 above, " Leave your sacrifice there beside the altar and GO and APOLOGIZE and BE RECONILED to him, and then come and offer your sacrifice to God."

In other words, you should go and tell your brother you are sorry and ask him to forgive you, and hence make peace with him!

But why does one need to settle matters with his brother first, before offering his gift to God?

The answer is found in Proverbs 21:27, "The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?" (KJV).

Anyone who, after offending his brother refuses to say sorry and get reconciled to him has a wicked mind. Such a person will suffer affliction (see Mathew 5:25-26). He will not find favour with God until he has settled things with his brother.

I believe this is one of the reasons why some people who have been going from one healing meeting to another have not been able to receive their healing.

RECEIVE FORGIVENESS FROM YOURSELF
Even after receiving forgiveness from God or from others. You need to learn to forgive yourself.

Jesus said of the Holy Spirit, "When he comes he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness and of judgment" (John 16:8).

Until you understand righteousness, it will be difficult for you to forgive yourself.

Paul mentioned the breastplate of righteousness as a weapon of our warfare (Ephesians 6:14). Actually, he was urging the church in Ephesus to put on the breastplate of righteousness. But how do we put this on?

First, we must understand what righteousness means. You see, righteousness is the ability of the recreated human spirit of a believer to stand before God by faith without condemnation, guilt, inferiority, unworthiness or sin-consciousness as though he never sinned (Romans 5:17).

Second, we must understand that every child of God is the righteousness of God in Christ.

Paul wrote, "God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD" (2 Corinthians 5:21,NIV).
Because sin is evil, you must not toil with it. But if you sin, you become unholy. Do you know that if a believer sins, he is still the righteousness of God in Christ?

Though it can make you less righteousness-conscious. Righteousness is your nature. It is who you are. But holiness, in a sense, is your character (inward and outward). It is what you think, talk or do.

Third, we must become righteousness- conscious. Paul wrote, "Awake to RIGHTEOUSNESS and sin not" (1 Corinthians 15:34 KJV). Paul was saying, "Become conscious of righteousness which is your nature for it helps to stop playing with sin." It removes sin-consciousness from you. It also helps you to forgive yourself.

CHAPTER FOUR

STEP 3: REALIZE THAT SICKNESS IS FROM SATAN

Acts 10:38 reads, " How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were OPPRESSED OF THE DEVIL; for God was with him."

Until you realize that sickness is from satan, you will not resist it. But the moment you realize that sickness is not from God, you will resist it. The Bible teaches that we should submit to God, but resist the devil. Until you resist the devil, he will not flee from you (James 4:7).

We see in Acts 10:38 above that Jesus did not oppress anyone with sickness or disease. Rather he went about doing good. He was healing all that were oppressed of the devil.

That means all the people he healed were oppressed or afflicted by the devil, not God.

Several years ago, John Graham Lake's wife, Jennie, was terribly sick even to the point of death. As he threw his Bible down, it fell open to Acts 10 and verse 38 caught his attention.

As he read the words, 'OPPRESSED OF THE DEVIL' seemed to jump at him. Then for the first time, he realized the Jennie was oppressed by the devil, not by God.

Also he read a reference to that verse, "And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, who SATAN HATH BOUND, lo these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond " (Luke 13:16).

He contacted some friends to join him in prayer that his wife would be healed that very day. So at the set time, he knelt down by her bedside and prayed in faith.

Then Jesus the healer stepped in but Satan the oppressed fled. God's power came upon her. Her paralysis left. She become well and lively again. She shouted, "Praise God, I' m healed!" She got up totally healed.

That happened in 1898.Bit Jesus has not changed. He is still the great healer of all who are oppressed by the devil. Are you being oppressed by the devil in your mind, emotion or body? The good news is: Jesus the healer, is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

James 1:16-17(NIV) reads:
"Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

This scripture is saying that all good and perfect gifts or things come from God. That implies if it is bad or evil like a sickness or disease, then it is not from God. It certainly comes from Satan who goes about to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10).

The Bible says, "So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord and SMOTE JOB WITH SORE BOILS FROM THE SOLE OF HIS FOOT UNTO HIS CROWN" (Job 2:7).

I remember ministering to an elderly relation of mine who could not walk very well because of a problem in one of his legs. Knowing that it was not from God, I took authority over it. He was walking with the aid of a stick. After the prayer, I left him in front of their house.

Shortly thereafter, I was alone with my mum when this man came in without his long stick. He was so happy that he shared his testimony with my mum that I prayed for his healing and he had been healed. Thank God for Jesus is the healer. Just as that man received his healing from Jesus, so will you receive yours today in Jesus' name.

CHAPTER FIVE

STEP 4: BELIEVE THAT JESUS HAS ALREADY HEALED YOU

Peter wrote believers, "He Himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; By HIS WOUNDS YOU HAVE BEEN HEALED" (1 Peter 2:24, NIV).

Another version says, " BY WHOSE STRIPES YE WERE HEALED" (1 Peter 2:24, KJV).

Do you know that Jesus paid the price for our sins as well as for our sicknesses? In fact, he paid for our sicknesses ever before he paid for our sins.

He died on the cross for our sins. But he received some stripes or lashes before he died-even before he was nailed to the cross.

It's interesting to understand that this scripture above says, " BY WHOSE STRIPES YE WERE HEALED" (JKV). The verb 'were' here is neither a present tense nor a future tense. Rather it is a simple past tense.

This does not read " BY HIS STRIPES YOU WILL BE HEALED VERY SOON." It does not say either, "BY HIS STRIPES YOU ARE BEING HEALED RIGHT NOW." No, a thousand times no!

Rather it reads, "BY WHOSE STRIPES YE WERE HEALED." This means, "By Jesus' stripes you were healed over 2,000 years ago. You healing took place then. You had been healed ever before you came to the earth!"

In other words, though, when you look at yourself you may see a sick person, a paralysed individual, a victim of HIV/AIDS, a patient of cancer, fibroid, tuberculosis, heart disease, diabetes, stroke, hernia, fracture, spinal injury, migraine, barrenness, blindness, dumbness, deafness ulcer, asthma, kidney stone, appendicitis, insanity or something else, yet when God looks at you, he sees you a hundred percent healed!

So you need to believe that Jesus had paid the price for all sicknesses and diseases that may fasten their deadly, ugly teeth against you and your loved ones.

Just as God had made provision for Adam and Eve ever before he made them, so he had made provision for your healing and health among other things ever before you were born into this world!

God planted a garden and put everything Adam and Eve needed there. Then he put the man there. The woman was later formed (Genesis 2:8, 15).
If you realize that God sees you as already healed and you believe it then be ready to walk out of that sickness or condition in your mind or body. Do you believe you were already healed?

Matthew confirmed it. Speaking about Jesus, it reads, "This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: HE TOOK UP OUR INFIRMITTIES AND CARRIED OUR DISEASES (Mathew 8:17 NIV).

The truth is: the sickness disturbing you had been taken up by Jesus before now.

But if he truly took and carried them away, why do they still affect your mind or body? It's so because your thinking has not changed in this aspect.

The Bible says, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). That means a man is whatever he thinks.

So if you think you were healed and believe it, then you will experience healing and health; but if you think and believe otherwise you won't experience it.

This is where the subject of faith comes in. The Bible says, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Hebrews 11: 1, 6, NIV).

Regardless of how you feel in your mind or body, regards of the worsening condition, just believe that you were healed a long time ago.

If you believe then you will see the glory of God (John 11:40). The problem with some folk is that they want to see God's glory first before they believe. They want to experience the healing first before they believe.

But the Bible, "Now faith is being certain of what we do not see" (Hebrews1:1, NIV).
"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst BELIEVE, all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mark 9:23).

Jesus touched the eyes of two blind men and healed them saying to them, "According to your faith be it unto you" (Mathew 9:26).

He told one or more people, "Your faith has made you whole (completely healed or restored to sound health)" [see Luke 8:48, Luke 18:42].

When Jesus got to his hometown, the Bible says, "He could not do any miracle there except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed at their lack of faith" (Mark 6:5-6, NIV).

You see, lack of faith will hinder you from receiving your healing, which is a forever- settled subject with God! But, if you will release your faith, you will see God's glory!

CHAPTER SIX

STEP 5: CONFESS YOUR HEALING WILLINGLY AND BOLDLY

Jesus said, " For verily I say unto you, that whosever shall I say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he SAITH.
Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever DESIRE, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:23-24).

The word 'say' or 'saith' is used three times while 'believe' is used twice in this scripture because what we say establishes what we believe.

The victory is in your mouth. There is a miracle in your mouth. Read that scripture again and again.

You have to speak persistently to that mountain of sickness or disease. Paul wrote, "Let us told fast the profession (confession) of our faith without wavering (doubting); (for he is faithful that promised;)" (Hebrews 10:23.

This means we have to keep on saying what God says about that condition despite human contradiction or medical opposition. To hold fast your confession of faith is to hold it firmly or stubbornly, neither loosely nor lazily!

CONFESS IT WILLINGLY
Jesus asked a sick fellow, "Wilt thou be made whole?" (John 5:6). In essence, he was asking, "Are you willing to receive your healing?"

I discovered that Jesus never healed anyone against their own will or desire. Similarly, you can't receive healing against your own desire or will (see Luke 18:40-41).

Now, you have to confess your healing willingly. You have to confess your desire. Jesus said in that Mark 11:24, " what things so ever ye DESIRE (want or are willing to get)"

CONFESS IT BOLDLY
Hebrews 13:5-6 reads, " For he said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So that we may BOLDLY SAY, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

Notice that this scripture teaches 'FOR HE HAS SAID SO THAT WE MAY BOLDLY SAY.'

The Living Bible puts 'may boldly say' as " say without any doubt or fear." A doubtful or fearful confession will nullify or paralyze your faith.

Years ago, when I was younger believer, I was coming back very early one morning from a vigil when suddenly I saw a small calabash or so by the road side containing some sacrifice to a god or whatever.

Without wasting time, I kicked it in holy anger. I never knew it would bring an attack on my health which I probably was unprepared-for.

Strange to relate, before long, I became sick and weak. I became worse and worse. I was stooling and vomiting perhaps at the same time. I tried to fight it off with my young faith but I didn't receive my healing. My mother and one or two other people were concerned.

Out of curiosity mixed with desperation, I grab a copy of 'Where There Is No Doctor' a health care hand book by David Werner. So I began to search to find out which of the disease there was afflicting me.

Unfortunately, when I got to page 172, I read about hepatitis a liver disease; and devil convinced me that I had that disease.

I admitted it foolishly because the signs of it resembled the symptoms I was struggling with. Unconsciously, I began to confess, "I have hepatitis."

On the other hand, I would confess, "By his stripes, I was healed". I never knew I was having a double confession.

Then one night, I seemed to sense death approaching. Fear must have gripped me. I thought to myself, "So, I will end my life so early that I won't fulfil the destiny God has for me. I'm not prepared to die this young. I've been looking forward to a great future in God but ."

While suffering on my bed of sickness that night, God impressed Proverbs 18:21 upon my heart. It reads: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

Then he made me understand that I was confessing death by saying, "I have hepatitis, but was confessing life by saying, "By his stripes, I was healed." Then I realized that I had a double confession. That nullified my faith.

You see, the Bible says, "Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth" (Proverbs 6:2).

Another Scripture says, " But the mouth of the upright shall deliver them" (Proverbs 12:6).

Without delay, I confessed, "I don't have hepatitis. By his stripes I was healed." I later slept off. I woke up perfectly healed. It was as if I wasn't the same person struggling to receive healing a few hours earlier. Glory to God!

Right confessions will always bring right results. E.W. Kenyon wrote, "You possess what you confess." How true that is!

CHAPTER SEVEN

STEP 6: ACT ON THE WORD OF GOD AS ONE ALREADY HEALED

James 1:22, 25 (NIV) reads, "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. DO WHAT IT SAYS. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, BUT DOING IT - HE WILL BE BLESSED IN WHAT HE DOES."

Are you a hearer or doer of the Word? There are many hearers but few doers. Anyone who hears the Word may rejoice about it, but only the one who does what it says can have the expected results! James says a doer of the Word will be blessed in what (anything) he does according to that word!

He continued, "In the same way, FAITH by itself, if it is not accompanied by ACTION, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith, I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds (actions), and I will show you MY FAITH BY WHAT I DO . You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds (actions) is useless? You see that his (Abraham's) faith and his action were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did .. You see that a person is justified by what he DOES and not by faith alone As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without DEEDS (actions) is dead "(James 2:17-18,20,22,24,26,NIV)."

Your action will either agree to your faith or deny it. Your action will either prove your faith as living or disprove it as dead. It will either correspond to your faith or contradict it.

One version put James 2:26 as, "FAITH WITHOUT CORRESPONDING (AGREEING) ACTIONS IS DEAD."

So friend, having taken all the previous fire steps successfully, the next thing to do right now is to act on the word as one completely already healed by Jesus' stripes or wounds.

If you have forgiven, and you have received forgiveness, and you realize that sickness is form Satan, and you believe that Jesus has already healed you, and you are constantly confessing your healing willingly and boldly, then get up from your sick bed right now.

Begin to do what you couldn't do before. Ignore the pains and signs and symptoms. Give legs to your faith.

Put your faith in the word of God and in the power of God. Don't trust in your five human senses. Do what you couldn't do before. Move your leg, arm That's faith in action!

Kenneth E. Hagin was a boy of sixteen when he became bedridden owing to a deformed heart and an incurable blood disease. He was given up by the best of doctors in Mayo Clinic, USA. He was not expected to live to be seventeen.

In fact, he was warned that either disease could lead to his death. He was nearly completely paralyzed. His blood was light orange in colour. He was weak, skeleton-like and dying.

In desperation, he turned to the word of God and began reading. After sixteen months bedfast, he acted upon Mark 11:23- 24 in simple faith and was healed!

Jesus said in that Scripture, "For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them."

He believed this scripture and confessed that he was healed. Then he acted in faith as one already healed. He stood up from his sickbed and began to do what he couldn't do before. His spoken faith and corresponding action put him over! He lived for almost seventy more years. He passed on at eighty-six years of age!

CHAPTER EIGHT

STEP 7: GIVE GLORY TO GOD FOR YOUR HEALING

Speaking of Abraham, the Scripture says, "He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was STORNG IN FAITH GIVING GLORY TO GOD" (Romans 4:20, KJV).

This implies the strong faith will thank God in advance before the miracle or healing manifests but weak faith will only complain, murmur or grumble bitterly, which will eventually stop the miracle or healing from manifesting (please read Numbers 14:26-30)!

Isn't it amazing that God said, "He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God"(Psalms 50:23 NIV)?

The King James Version says, "Whoso offereth PRAISE GLORIFIETH ME" Friend, if you have carefully followed and obeyed all the previous six steps, then you should now began to thank and praise God for your healing.

In spite of what you feel in your mind or body, begin to praise him for your healing because God inhabits or dwells in the praises of his people (Psalms 22:3). He is enthroned on our praises!

No wonder, Paul wrote, "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV).

He also wrote, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through him " (Colossians 3:17, NIV).

When Jesus got to the grave of Lazarus, even before he raised him from the dead, he said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me" (John 11:41-42, NIV).

I remember the story of the 10 guys with leprosy (an infections, deadly skin disease) who came to the Master for healing. Jesus said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests. And as they went, they were cleansed.
One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back PRAISING GOD in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and THANKED him
Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give PRAISE TO GOD except this foreigner? "Then he said to him. ' Rise and go, your faith has made you well'" (see Luke 17:11- 19, NIV).

The King James Version put the last verse above (vs 19) like this: "And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way; thy faith hath made thee WHOLE."

You see, all the ten lepers were cleansed by God's power but the scars were still on their bodies.

But when one of them came back to give glory to God, Jesus told him in essence,
"Although you are cleansed, yet because you've come back to give glory to God for healing you, your body will be made whole (completely restored to perfect health without any scars, any dead skin layers or any traces of leprosy)."

I want to congratulate you on your healing because that thing will turn into a testimony for you in Jesus' name (Luke 21:13).

Friend, as you are coming out of that mental or bodily sickness or disease, say this boldly,
"Thank God for giving Jesus to pay the price for our sins and sicknesses, unrighteousness and diseases. I thank you Father God because Jesus took up my infirmities or weaknesses and carried my diseases and sicknesses over 2,000 years ago.
I give you glory, O God for by his stripes or wounds, I was healed of ________________ (mention the sickness). I command you foul spirit of infirmity to leave my mind and body right now in Jesus' name.
Thank you my Father because I don't have _________________ (mention the sickness). Rather I have God's healing and health in my mind and body in Jesus' name. Hallelujah!"

As you act on God's word, doing what you couldn't do before, keep your faith confession strong and keep on giving glory to God. Be like Abraham who was strong in faith , giving glory to God!

"Let us hold fast the profession (confession) of our faith without wavering (shaking); for he is faithful that promised" (Hebrews 10:23, KJV).

SINNER'S CONFESSION
If you are not yet born-again, say this:
I choose to repent today. Also I choose to believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose up for my justification.
The Scripture says, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom 10:9).
Therefore, I believe in Jesus in my heart and confess Him as my Lord. Now I am born-again (Amen).

SAY THIS ALOUD TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT
Also Jesus said, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses" (Acts 1:8).
And on the day of Pentecost "All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:4).
Therefore, I receive the Holy Spirit by faith right now and I begin to speak in an unknown tongue (unlearned tongue) as He gives me the utterance.
I command every foul spirit [spirit of fear, spirit of unbelief, spirit of doubt, religious spirit, unforgiving spirit] wanting to hinder me to stop in its evil operation in my life in Jesus' name.
Thank you God for filling me with your Spirit in Jesus' name (Amen).
