Keep the Monsters Away
by Richard L. Provencher Earth reels and rocks exploding with emotion and he left his bed to check the temperature of the night: its crashing sounds whispering limbs and startled sky jugular ribbons, white streaks a cacophony of crescendos. In spite of storms where monsters infiltrate thinking his mind races to days when good ole mom sprinkled away childish fears with Holy Water in each bedroom hideaway. Gaining a toe-hold on the many precipices of life he attained success, good standing in spite of such storms confronting him now carefully closes the window longing for those moments when as a child he raised youthful lips to the sky trusting in the purity of rain descending and gulped hungrily at the moisture received in the innocence of life. Without further fanfare he stomps across the cold floor and returns to the bedroom of his desires; wraps himself in the safety of his wife's embrace. Richard enjoys writing poems; many of which have been published in Print and Online. He and his wife, Esther are also co-authors of stories and a print novel. They are "born again" Christians and very busy in their church, Abundant Life Victory International, in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
