Don't Plead The Blood: Apply It
by Irma Green Exodus 12:13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. God said, "When I see the blood." We are to apply the blood of Jesus to every area of our lives. "To plead the blood and to apply the blood are two different things." And that is why we are not effective in our prayer life, because we are "pleading" the blood instead of "applying it." To plead is to "ask or beg." To apply is to spread on. You "plead" your case before God - but you must "apply" the blood. Jesus shed His blood that we might apply it to our lives. We ask God to cover us in the blood. Remember He said, "WHEN I 'SEE' THE BLOOD." If we are pleading the blood God cannot see it. To keep you ineffective in your prayer life, Satan will tell you it doesn't matter which word you use - I tell you child of God, it does matter. The blood has no particular benefit to us unless it is applied to our hearts and lives. The song says, "There to my heart was the blood applied" Just as the blood of the Passover lamb would not have benefited the Israelites if it had not been applied upon the doorposts and lintel of their houses. God told the people, "and when I see the blood, I will pass over you." If they had stood there crying, "I plead the blood over this doorpost, I plead the blood over this doorpost, I plead the blood over this doorpost," God would not have seen it. God wants to see the blood on your life. God doesn't see my past, my past is covered in the blood of Jesus. So, when God looks at me, He doesn't see the old me, He sees His Son, because His Son's blood covers me. Scripture says, "hidden in Christ." My old life is hidden in Christ, through His applied blood!! When you say, "I apply the blood" you are asking God to cover you in the blood of Jesus. When you ask God to cover your family in His Son's blood, I believe God then builds a hedge of protection around your home and family. Child of God don't plead the blood; apply the blood!! Cover yourself, your family, your home, job, car, finances with the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus when applied protects all - nothing can penetrate what is covered with the blood of Jesus. Nothing can harm you - you have too much blood on your life. Amen, amen, and amen It Is Finished!! God bless!! Rev. K.
