The unDefeated Bachelor
by Ron Horn I remember watching a movie called "The Bachelor" were the heir of a wealthy man was given the ultimatum to get married or lose his inheritance. He immediately made reservations for a dinner date with his girlfriend so he could propose to her. When they were on their dinner date he quoted this firstly in his proposal to her. " You Won!!!" She responded without delay called him an absolute jerk and got up in disgust and left. With our salvation this situation is almost the same except this one point. When Christ made His proposal to mankind He said " I Won." What then should be our response???? a fight of our self will to the finish or raising the white flag saying " I Surrender." And wouldn't this be a the question to ask Does He Love Me!!! The answer of course is. He loved us to death!!! The amazing thing about Christ's our Liberators victory is this He liberated us and then set us free. He gave us the choice of living in His Spirit (His Will) . or. staying in our own spirit (the flesh or our self will). With Him we have liberty and redemption. With our flesh (self will) we have DEATH!!! I guess the question is actually this. Can you say "No" and truly have freedom if your rejection of Him brings about living only on your own sustenance ???? In Him we have the provision of EVERLASTING LIFE. Hallelujah!!! In ourselves???? we have the provision of..????? Try writing a self proclamation. Today.
