The Rudder Of The Ship
by Dr.Peter daniel How many people know where to find the helm,or 'rudder' on a boat,it's what steers the boat or ship.Without one your boat or ship is at the mercy of the current,wind,waves and rocks because you cannot steer or manuver your ship. The following from the book of James , as he spoke before the First Christian Council in 51 a.d. James 3:4 Behold also the ships,which though they be so great,and are driven of fierce winds,yet are they turned about with a very small helm,withersoever the governor listeth. The tongue is a little 'member' of the body but controls the entire 'ship'! The Bismarck was a mighty battleship, greatest in the German Naval Fleet. It now rests at the bottom of the sea after a torpedo disabled it's rudder.An almost unsinkable battleship,now unable to out- manuver the enemy,was now at their mercy. Father help us to control our tongue and guide us into safe waters.
