Why Creation matters
by Trent Patterson The story of Creation is probably the best know story of the Bible. It is what begins the story of God and man. But some challenge the existence of Adam and Eve, saying it is to be taken as symbolisim and not literal. There is one major problem with this theory. Sin came into the world through Adam and Eve and passed into each generation, thus the whole world was cursed with sin through Adam. So to mend this relationship, God sent his son to bare our sins. So here lies the problem: If this fall in Genesis is just symbolysim, then we didn't need a savior. It is important to take genesis literally, because it explains why there is sin, and why we needed a savior. St. Paul in Romans 5:12 sites that sin entered the world through Adam. So the reading of Genesis must be taken literally, especially creation. It explains how and why sin entered the world, and why we need a savior, which can only be found in Jesus Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
