God says to you My daughter I know what you are concealing under the make –up The happy attitude you are portraying Is it really how you are feeling? I know the things you are trying to hide Take off the mask and come to me I saw the violence perpetrated against you I heard you cry I know the insults you have borne Yet the next morning you wore a smile And You used make-up to cover that black-eye A long sleeve to cover the bruised arm Someone asked– Are you fine? You said yes with a broad smile While you are screaming and devastated on the inside My child, I counsel you to get help Do not stay in an abusive relationship My daughter, this is not the life I want for you Where you are abused and feel used These are not the plans I have for you I watched you in your mother’s womb as you were being formed Yes I knew you before you were conceived, or even born You are so precious to me
The secret you have kept The shame you have felt I know it A woman forced against her will Lift up your head and come to me Let me touch you Hear my words My word will bring healing to your soul You are so special to me
Come live under my shadow I am your Refuge I love you Come experience my love Abused, rejected woman You are loved Come to me quickly Call my name, Jesus I love you This truth will transform your life If you only believe That I genuinely love I know how to love, care, heal and protect a woman For I formed and fashioned you
