You treat the person like you would want to be treated rather than how you are being treated. In this way, you are showing that you are honoring and valuing the person. You set boundaries, speak the truth in love, say no to sin, refuse to enable wrongdoing, and stand for what is good and right for the person, yourself, and the relationship.
