Le Passage to India wins National Tourism Award
by New Delhi, March 9, 2012: Le Passage to India (LPTI) India's premium award winning No.1 Destination Management Company has yet again won recognition for its contribution to the tourism industry. Le Passage to India was awarded the honour of the best Inbound Tour Operator in Category 1 (Foreign Exchange Earnings of Rs. 100 crore and above), position 2, at the recently held National Tourism Awards. The company also won a second award in the category of Best Overseas Tour Operator from UK to India, which was awarded to the partner company, TUI Travel PLC. The award was conferred by Hon'ble President of India Shrimati Pratibha Patil and Union Tourism Minister Shri Subodh Kant Sahai and was received by Mr. Arjun Sharma, CEO, Le Passage to India in a ceremony in held in New Delhi. The National Tourism Awards were given out to 78 awardees in 50 categories. "We are honoured to have been recognized again by the Ministry of Tourism for our contributions to the Indian tourism industry. The acknowledgment is a further motivation for us to contribute and develop the tourism industry and as always we are thankful for all the support we receive from the Government of India", said Mr. Arjun Sharma, CEO, Le Passage to India on receiving the honour. The National Tourism Award is an annual award presented by The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The awards are given under various segments of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
