Merry Christmas!
by Fergus Davar

Hello people, you'll probably know what I going to write about today (18 December 2011), I am going to write about Christmas.

Well what is Christmas? Well any believing Christian will tell you that it is much more than the eating, drinking and merry making. Well, to put Christmas in words it is the fulcrum (fulcrum is the support about which a lever pivots) which God used to gain full leverage on all of his creation on heaven, earth and world below. Christmas is that fulcrum which God used to change to change the course of creation that it may be brought back to Himself (Col 1:20). People debate if Jesus is God but these people who deny the deity of Christ may either deny his death on the cross or believe he died on cross but they still are left with the idea that they need to work out their own salvation. You will notice both these types of people have lost the essence of Christmas. These people will surely deny the Tri-Union identity of the One All Powerful God.

Col 1:20
20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

If you were to look at the god that the monotheist religions of the world believe in, you will see that this god is not truly a God because this god has shown itself (not alive) to be singular as a separate being altogether. Also this god according to religious monotheism gets things done from his subject. You can clearly see from this that this body of religiosity is like a pyramid with their god on the top and these subjects at the bottom, where lesser the hierarchy the larger the number of subjects. You will also notice from this that the dictating is in full swing at the top of this pyramid with zero functioning and as you go down the pyramid the functioning increases and the dictating decreases right till it is all function and zero dictating. These subjects are made blind to the fact that this system is nothing more that religious power hungry politics. Subjects from this system will always feel their god is depending on them for something critical to maintain this pyramid system. This religious system is no different from the corporate companies out there in the world where the top is supported by the bottom; the bottom ideally is what is supporting the pyramid. This friend is the religious system of singular monotheism that is plaguing the world. A system which inadvertently states that they haven't understood the definition of the word "God". They may not admit it but they know that it is them supporting their god and also the ways of their religious system. Their god is doing nothing for them other than dictating rules.

Ok, so why did I tell you all this? Well that was because I need to bring and show the believing Christian faith in contrast to the religions of the world. The Christian God exists as One Being in the Father Son and Spirit. Meaning the Person applying decisive force [Father]-(John 5:30) using the Holy Spirit (Numbers 11:17) like a lever to grip and move an object using Jesus Christ as the fulcrum (Corner Stone Ephesians 2:20).

John 5:30 (Jesus speaks of His Father)
"I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Numbers 11:17
17 Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the 'Spirit' who is upon you, and will put Him upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you will not bear it all alone.

Ephesians 2:18-20
18 for through Him we both have our access in one 'Spirit' to the 'Father'. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, 'Christ Jesus' Himself being the 'corner stone',

From Ephesians 2:18-20 we see these entire three Persons function individually as God with one purpose and together also as One God with a singular motive to reconciling a people to God. You will see this in Eph 2:18-20 and Acts 1:7-8.

Acts 1:7-8
7 Jesus said to them, "The times and occasions are set by my Father's own authority, and it is not for you to know when they will be. 8 But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

The fulcrum of a lever is always connected to the ground and it is the fulcrum that takes all the weight when something enormous is moved. So Jesus had to be fully Man (connected to the ground) and fully God to bear the weight of reconciling all creation (Hebrews 9:28 & 1John 2:1-2). Jesus was the only Man who was glorified in God and God was glorified in Him (John13:31-32) because He was fully Man and fully God.

Hebrews 9:28
28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

1John 2:1-2
And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; 2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

John 13:31-32
Jesus *said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him; 32 if God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately.

People know that the name Immanuel (Mat 1:23) refers to Jesus but they have not fully grasped what it is to mean "God is with us" in Jesus. It means God took his dwelling on earth as a man among men. In the very next chapter of Matthew (Mat 2:1, 11) the revelation of Immanuel: God dwelling as man in Jesus; is made know to the magi (3 kings), who come from afar to WORSHIP HIM. This is how the first Christmas was and this is how it ought to continue.

Matthew 1:23
23 "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"[a] (which means "God with us").

Matthew 2:1, 11
1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, [a]magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, 2 "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him."
11 After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

So you see Christmas is all about the epiphany moment (sudden realization or comprehension of the larger essence or meaning of Christmas) where God is making a declaration to Man of who He really is. Think of it this way; consider the invention or discovery of the internet, which started off in the 1950s or 1960s. The world hasn't enjoyed and celebrated the internet as much as they do today. So it is the same with the Christmas epiphany, only on an infinitely larger scale on heaven, earth and the fear trembling world below. Christmas is such an awakening to the world that the birth of Jesus Christ is the central point of reference on the world calendar.

There is a very popular Christmas song that goes "well I wish it could be Christmas everyday" and though this may make you smile, you can celebrate Christmas everyday by holding close to you that God came as Man into world to bring "man" back to God. So no matter which month of the year it may be when you are reading this, I close, sending you greetings in celebrating a lovely Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

who trains my hands for war,
