by Dana Chaffin A Christmas Snow is available on dvd at www.achristmassnow.com and other Christian movie retailers. Also A Christmas Snow the live performance is going to be in Branson, Missouri in November and December 2011. This is a very entertaining movie with great acting and an incredible story. The movie is based on the book A Christmas Snow by Best-selling author Jim Stovall. A Christmas Snow is an amazing story about the importance of family and forgiveness. It tells the story of Sam, (Muse Watson, NCIS, Walker, Texas Ranger) a man on a spiritual journey to reconcile with his daughter. On his way he runs into (or maybe it is the other way around) Kathleen, (Catherine Mary Stewart, Mischief, Weekend at Bernies) that is on her own journey. Due to a last minute sitter cancelation, she is stuck watching her boyfriend's sassy daughter, Lucy (Cameron ten Napel, Cool Dog, Barney and Friends, The Lamp), for the night. Kathleen is not much of the motherly type; she is a strong and independent business woman. When Sam has no place to go on this very cold night Kathleen insists he stay at her house till morning. During the night a major ice storm shuts down the city and the three are stranded together for days with no electricity. The events and stories during their time together are priceless, but what happens after the storm is surprising and inspirational. A Christmas Snow the book was written by Jim Stovall. Stovall has an inspiring story about his own life. He was partially blind until age 29 when he lost his remaining sight. He did not let his blindness stop him because he is not only a very successful author, but also a national champion Olympic weightlifter, a desired speaker, and President of Narrative Television Network. Narrative Television Network was started by Stovall and Kathy Harper, which is legally blind, from their frustration of not being able to follow the story in their favorite movies and television shows. They learned that there are over 13 million people in the United States who have visual impairments, so they began to make programs that added voice narrators describing visual elements of the story. Television experts told them their programs would never work, but in less than one year Narrative Television Network was awarded an Emmy. You can find out more about this amazing network at www.NarrativeTV.com. A Christmas Snow is an outstanding story for the Christmas season. It stresses the importance of family and appreciation for the simple things in life. It also shows viewers that it is never too late to make changes. So grab the popcorn, a blanket, and for some a box of tissue and enjoy this amazing movie. You can find out more about the movie and the schedule for A Christmas Snow Live at www.achristmassnow.com.
