Sound of a Hammer
by Richard L. Provencher No good, troubled they said. Unwanted blond blue-eyed boy from one foster home to another, adopted into the moment of our lives. Trying to stop his lying and stealing Group homes, Training Schools, Westmoreland Prison then Springhill Pen, he survived them all and back again. Dangerous they said when he was just a kid, Hide your rifles, he may hammer someone. Now tired eyes are staring through vertical bars, hands clasped together. The only noises in his early morning cell, cracking knuckles. The only hammer around, a pounding heartbeat. Richard L. Provencher Richard enjoys writing poems; many of which have been published in Print and Online. He and his wife, Esther are also co-authors of stories and a print novel. They are "born again" Christians and very busy in their church, Abundant Life Victory International, in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
