Lion Tamer
by Debra Burgess I heard "lion tamer" as a word. What I was to share is that there are many in the body who are meaning well with what they are saying, but they are going against God's working. HE is bringing forth those to be lions in the body, but some of these don't look, act or speak like what the church has felt comfortable with. Seemingly well meaning people moving in their flesh, are trying to tame these lions, when Jesus alone is the only "lion tamer" for us all. Be aware of this. Watch, pray and seek the word carefully. A lion's roar gets our attention, but if that roar is muted then we may never pay attention. Be in wise counsel to recognize the true lions and take care not to put them in cages for mere performances set up by man. Now when I looked more into what a lion tamer was about, this is what I began to find. Lion taming is the practice of taming lions, either for protection, whereby the practice was probably created, or, more commonly, entertainment, particularly in the circus. The term is also often used for the taming and display of other big cats such as tigers, leopards, jaguars, and pumas. Lion taming is used as a stereotypical dangerous occupation due to the obvious risks of toying with powerful instinctive carnivores. Lion taming is performed in zoos across the world, to enable less dangerous feeding and to bring more profit by holding programs like cub petting. Pro 30:30 A lion, which is mighty among beasts And does not turn away from any; Isa 31:4 (AMP) For the Lord has said to me, As the lion or the young lion growls over his prey--and though a large band of shepherds is called out against him, he will not be terrified at their voice or daunted at their noise--so the Lord of hosts will come down to fight upon Mount Zion and upon its hills. Amo 3:8 A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy? I will leave it to each of you to interpret and search out the truth of this word. May God bless us with further revelation and guidance in this hour. I love to encourage the heart of people to be who they are meant to be in Christ, individually made and uniquely designed. www.debrabee.org Email: [email protected] Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
