The Wind of God
by Bonnie Freed The Lord showed me a vision of a ship tied to a dock. He said that a mighty wind of His spirit was coming and that this wind would destroy the ship that was tied securely to the dock. It would seem this would be a safe place for a ship, especially in a storm. But, He said this storm would be so intense that the ship could only survive if it was out in the sea with "sails" up and open to catch the wind and then the wind would carry the ship to its final destination. He said that this open sea was uncharted and therefore considered dangerous territory, especially to the ship that was tied up to be safe. There are three types of ships (believers). Examine your own hearts! Type 1. Ship tied to the dock Type 2. Ship in safe sea, chartered waters, known territory Type 3. Ship in open sea Ship tied to the dock.... Good Works They could go into the town and enjoy shopping, visit and congregate with friends. And then go back to their safe place in the ship tied to the dock. These folks are totally unaware of the storm or the coming storm. These are "churched" people going to seminars, teachings all good stuff! They are meeting friends after church, eating together- not a lot happening here. The Lord called them "stiff-necked", looking down on the "strange ones." They are conservative and believe they are walking the true path. They are accepted and in the mainstream of of believers. They will tolerate some gossip, some unforgiveness after all, we are only human. Not committed to tithing, proud, idolatry to the world and what it offers them TV, money, jobs, standing in community. When the "Wind of the Spirit" blows they will not recognize it. They will rise up against it and many will be destroyed. Some will question their walk and want a touch from Jesus (have a secret longing in their heart). 1John 2:4-6, 17 Ship at sea in charted waters.... Good Hearts They are doing things for the Lord. They are ways established and approved by leaders, churches, history, etc. These are good things and much is being accomplished. They are following Jesus' ways. Many are not satisfied and feel the call of God on their lives. He's saying, "Come to me come up to where I am and sup with me. I want to show you My ways, My plans and purposes for your life. Oh, please, please come!! I want to share my glory with you". The wind will be blowing against them and when it comeswill not seem to fit in with their plans. Many will not recognize this as God's spirit, but as a spirit of division and destruction. Their ship will be going against the "Wind of the Spirit." Many will choose to oppose this move of God's Spirit. They will be fighting against the Lord and not know it. Those who have been getting nudges from the Lord little yearnings are going to open their hearts completely and surrender to Jesus and the move of His spirit. Their hearts are crying out "Jesus more of You Lord, more of You." Many will be hated because of it and misunderstandings will spring up. For some, this pressure will pull them back into the safe waters. Ship in uncharted water.... They desire a clean heart before the Lord. People in this ship have already given up their reputations. Their hearts cry out for Jesus. Your ways Lord, not mine. Your will Lord, not mine. Your heart Lord, not mine. Your plans Lord, not mine. And they will be constantly searching their own hearts, looking at their motives. They have been going through a death experience, but the Spirit of Life is coming to blow His life upon them. The people on this ship will be in God's will and purpose but not viewed as such by organized religion. When the Spirit moves upon this ship, it will take them to their final destination. (God's highest will and calling upon their life.) There will be miracles, anointing, faith, love, hope, joy abounding in every good thing and given freely without any expectation of a return. Their reward is in following Jesus, as they are poured out He is poured out. The oil of joy, the oil of gladness, singing praises to their King and worshipping Him with their whole heart this is a great reward! They also have a promise of protection and provision from the Lord. They have learned or are learning to die to self daily. They are willing to give all to sacrifice all. We shall be tested in this. Because some may turn back from this highest calling does not mean the Lord will abandon them, but means that they will not receive the reward of this highest calling. Many of these followers have been given visions of their higher calling impossible, hard to believe and some have all but forgotten. The Lord is going to bring these things to remembrance. He is going to resurrect your vision of that higher calling. The Wind of the Spirit is breathing His life back into you. RISE UP AND WALK! He will bring that resurrection power! Be broken and poured out He is for you! JESUS IS SAYING COME, COMEBE YOKED WITH ME BELOVED I went to college at Pacific Lutheran University and focused on creative writing, Art and English. This is where I began to develop my voice in writing. Since that time, I've written various articles but have not published. http://writingforfunandprofit.wordpress.com/ Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
