Is Matthew 24:6-13 Being Fulfilled?
by Bob Butler

North Korea has bombed South Korea now what?
With each event like this are we closer to the end, and will it also increase the negative behavior towards Christianity? Mathew 24 and Thess.1&2 tell of an increase of persecution for the body of Christ, the Christians. This is one thing that we don't want to think about but it is, or will be, the reality we face in the coming years. There is hope in all of this in the promise that Jesus Christ will never leave us nor forsake us. He will strengthen us and even give us the words to say when we are brought before the courts. I realize this is not a pleasant subject to talk about, but the Church is not teaching the full gospel to the believers.

Because of the need to keep people in a giving mood, pastors do not speak of the changes that are coming in the near future. Mathew 24 speaks of the 'love of many growing cold'. Revelations, in the letters to the seven Churches, tell of the weakened Christian being removed from the Book of Life because we did not stand firm in the faith. This will be a time of personal decision to follow Christ through the persecution or to reject Christ to remove the persecution. The one will bring a crown the other will bring tribulation beyond belief. Because we have failed to speak of these things, the Christian body does not understand these truths.

The theology of Pre-tribulation rapture has weakened the resolve of the Christians to the possibility of persecution in America. All around the world Christians are being killed or imprisoned for their faith but we have been blessed beyond belief. China, North Africa, the eastern Arab countries and the communist countries are all persecuting the Christians because of their stand for Christ. In Canada you will be thrown in prison if you preach to a Jew for the purpose of conversion and have a Bible in you hands, up to 5 years. This is being discussed for us in America. It will be soon that, speaking the truth of the Word of God will be against the law. Then we will be given the choice to hide our faith or to be a light set on a hill for all to see as we are commended.
