Redistribution of Wealth is not what the Founding Fathers Wanted!
by Bob Butler Looking back at the founding of this country and then where we are today, I come away with the sense of foreboding. We have allowed the destruction of the very fabric of this country to occur and we need to stand up and say no more. To understand why this change is dangerous we need to remember the reasons behind the writing of the greatest documents, by some of the greatest people, in American history! The Founders Fathers wanted to insure that this new government would have limited powers with checks and balances. As a Christian I can see the Hand of God in the forming of America. He led the Founding Fathers to establish the greatest country that has ever been. No other country had the quality of people gathering together to create a government that would last for over 200 years. Now we see a government that believes they know better, and have removed the restraints that were established so they could bring about a socialist disaster. They now own corporations, banks, and other financial institutions that are contrary to the Constitution. They believe that, what has worked for over 200 years, now needs to be changed. They say that private capitalism has destroyed the availability of many to achieve financial fairness. They want redistribution of wealth. Now the question I have is, how does this encourage the wealthy to continue to build wealth to be distributed to the less wealthy? How does this work if no one is willing to risk building a business only to see their efforts taken and given to another? If you research the history of other countries you will see that, without the belief that you will grow rich by taking risks, you will not try. Every socialist country has had a two tiered society, the extremely wealthy and the extremely poor. Please open your eyes and notice that only the very rich and powerful want a redistribution of wealth. They know that it will only be your wealth redistributed not theirs. They will become more powerful and wealthier in the process. That is why the Founding Fathers placed limitations on government and the Courts, they had seen the alternative and wanted to never live under it again. Too many people have given their lives to grant you the freedom you have and the opportunities you have in this country. Let's not stand by and watch it disappear. The checks and balances need to be put back in force and the government needs to step back and ask what is best for the people and not for the powerful only. The purpose of the Founding Fathers needs to be reestablished as it was in the early founding of this country. I am a laymen with an advanced degree in Biblical Lit.
