From idols to the Most High
by Awakened by Christ Jesus! I loved Lord Jesus since I was a little girl. My Dad and Grandma loved Him a lot and influenced me to love Him and draw near. Sadly I thought He was the One in the images at home and the statues at church or at my school. I would spend hours looking at these images, kissing them and bowing down before them. In my time of sadness, I would weep before them and ask them to help me. It never ever struck me that this was not my Saviour. Instead of looking at Him in the Word, I looked at Him in this manner. Perhaps the Lord knew I was blinded and led astray by others, who were led astray too. He allowed me for many years to love these images and idols and when He knew He was secure of my love, He revealed the truth to me that idol worship is an offence to God. I walked out of a church that practiced idol worship and started a new life. The change was not easy because of my ties to the images at home and wanted to see His Face, but the 10 Commandments kept me strong and made me realise that idol and image worship is offensive to Him. Slowly I realized that these images were not of Lord Jesus. The Bible started to give me a different concept of the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent Godhead. I am still on the journey of discovery and loving it. Please be encouraged to read the 10 Commandments and let it guide you about idol worship and other areas of your life. After all God wrote them with His very own finger on a tablet of stone. It's odd isn't it that the catholic church calls itself the holy apostolic church and yet in front of the world it betrays God by housing idols and encouraging its members with idol worship. It also blatantly breaks the Sabbath Commandment and makes its own rules. Like my old self, many believe in her blindly but rest assured God will awaken all those who are ready to be awakened. Friend if you are seeking the truth, you will find it. Please read the Word of God in the Bible and allow it to speak to you. Keep the Commandments before you and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and He will. May God be with us all. !!!A flame for Christ!!! Prayer: Come Holy Spirit and take over all of me. Make me Yours completely. Lead me all the days of my life and protect me from the evil one, from all harm and danger. Bless all those in my life and lead and guide them too.
