Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon?, Part 11
by Karl Kemp
We continue to discuss E. W. Kenyon's teaching that Jesus died spiritually, took on the nature of the devil, was tormented in hell for three days, and needed to be justified and born again like we do throughout most of Part 11. I demonstrate that A. J. Gordon, A. T. Pierson, and Henry C. Mabie, who were mentors for Kenyon, taught the orthodox view, that Jesus' suffering and atoning work was accomplished on the cross.

Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon?, Part 10
by Karl Kemp
We discuss some of the different viewpoints about holiness here in Part 10. And we will discuss (in some detail) Kenyon's view that Jesus died spiritually, took on the nature of the devil, was tormented in hell for three days, and was justified and born again like we are. Based on what I have read, E. W. Kenyon was the source for these very wrong ideas.

Some Glorious Highlights from Romans Chapter 6
by Karl Kemp
Romans chapter 6 is one of the most important passages in the Bible, if not the most important passage, that shows that being dead to sin (being dead to sinning) and being enslaved to God and His righteousness is a big part of what new-covenant salvation through the atoning death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, by grace through faith, through the indwelling Spirit of life and righteousness and holiness, is all about.

Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon?, Part 9
by Karl Kemp
We are united with the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, and the Spirit of God dwells within us as born-again Christians, but this doesn't make us incarnations. When God the Son, who had always existed with God the Father, took on flesh and became the God-man, that was (the) incarnation (John 1:1-3, 14). We discuss the background of E. W. Kenyon here in Part 9.

Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon?, Part 8
by Karl Kemp
The New Testament mentions that we are partakers of the divine nature (2 Pet. 1:3, 4) and shows that we will reign with the Lord Jesus Christ, but it is very important to understand our continued, very substantial subordination to God, His Son, and His Spirit. Revelation 22:3, for example, shows that we "His bond-servants will serve Him" in the eternal state that follows the millennial kingdom. It is, of course, a great blessing to be "bond-servants" of God and to reign with Him (Rev. 22:5).

Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon?, Part 7
by Karl Kemp
We are continuously dependent on all the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Apart from a living contact with Him, the Spirit of life, there is no eternal life; apart from a living contact with Him, there is no fruit of the Spirit; apart from a living contact with the Righteous, Holy Spirit, there is no partaking of the desperately needed Righteousness and Holiness of God; apart from living contact with Him, there are no gifts of the Spirit; etc.

What Bible to Use?
by Wayne Childress
Which version of the Bible we use is not as important as the fact that we are seeking the wisdom or Lord wishes we have to follow Him as best we can.
-
Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon?, Part 6
by Karl Kemp
For one thing, we discuss the difference between Bible faith and occult faith here in Part 6. We desperately need the balanced truth of what the Bible teaches on faith, as on all of the foundational teachings regarding new-covenant salvation through God the Son and by the grace of God and the Spirit of God.
-
Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How about E. W. Kenyon?, Part 5
by Karl Kemp
The New Testament shows that Christians have been given authority to use in spiritual warfare, but we need the balanced truth of what the New Testament teaches. Some Christians have very little, if any, conception of that authority. Other Christians overstate the authority that we have been given, as we will discuss here in Part 5.

Eternal Life vs. Eternal Death
by Wayne Childress
We are not eternal until after we are judged and found written in the Book of Life. Damned souls are not eternal.

Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon, Part 4
by Karl Kemp
Hebrews 11:3 speaks about our knowing - by faith - that God created the universe, based in part on Genesis chapter 1. It does not speak of God's creating by faith. The Bible never speaks of God's creating by faith, and it never speaks of our creating by faith. However, the Bible does speak of God's creating things and moving mountains that need to be moved, etc. in response to our faith (our faith that lines up with His will). We will also discuss Heb. 11:1 here in Part 4.
-
Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon?, Part 3
by Karl Kemp
We discuss Mark 11:22 here in Part 3, with the emphasis on showing that "Have faith in God" is the proper way to translate the Greek. One goal for this paper is to show that Kenneth Hagin lived his life fully conscious of his total dependence on God and His continual involvement in his life and ministry (through faith in God, His Son, His Word. etc.), and typically his teaching reflected this God-centered, Christ-centered, Bible-centered point of view.

REVELATION 17
by ralph jackson
Truth is never pleasant to hear and sometimes it can cause much distress to those who have believed something as fact most, if not all of their lives. I also had to come to terms with my own beliefs when confronted with God's Holy Word, especially the book of Revelation, which has many difficult passages to the casual reader, but an in-depth study and a knowledge of the history of the Jewish and Christian religions has opened up the prophesies of the Bible to me. I would like to share the following with you and hope that you will gain a better understanding of God's plan for His fallen planet and the people He loves and died for.

Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon?, Part 2
by Karl Kemp
I don't believe it is Biblical to speak of a "force of faith." That expression lends itself to an improper view of faith. The Bible speaks of having faith in God (and His Word). He has the "force" (power) to move the mountains that need to be moved, etc. Galatians 5:16, and quite a few other verses, speak of walking by the Holy Spirit (with the victory over sin). I believe we should totally reject the idea that the apostle Paul was speaking of walking by our recreated human spirit.

The Amazing Grace Cycle
by Deborah Brunt
Grace flows. In a cycle essential for all spiritual life, grace flows down, out, up - and then repeats. God initiates that flow. But how fully it impacts families, communities and nations hinges on how fully God's people cooperate with him, how fully you and I get in on the flow.

Weeping Turned to Joy
by Deborah Brunt
When we face loss, God longs to make the same divine exchange for us that he did for King David and for two grieving sisters. We cooperate by doing the thing we most want to skip, giving ourselves permission to grieve.

Shall We Write Off Kenneth E. Hagin? Dave Hunt? How About E. W. Kenyon? Part 1 (of 12 Parts)
by Karl Kemp
I believe we must pursue the balanced truth of what the Bible teaches with a top priority and point out errors wherever they are found for the glory of God and for the good of the body of Christ. However, we should be very cautious about writing off other Christians. I'm confident that God doesn't appreciate us writing off those that He hasn't written off.

AT BETHANY
by Opeyemi Ezekiel Akindele
It is a story of a situation turned around because of who Jesus is, not because someone had made a positive confession or a person "had faith in his own faith."

Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 11
by Karl Kemp
We discuss the last verses of Isaiah chapter 66 here in Part 11, verses 18-24. God gathers the nations to judge them at the end of this age and then invites the remnant of the nations to submit to Him. They come bringing the dispersed sons of Israel with them as an offering to God.
-
Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 10
by Karl Kemp
We discuss Isaiah 49:19-25 here in Part 10 and go on to a verse-by-verse study of Isaiah 66:9-24. Both of these passages prophesy of God's glorious salvation plans for the repentant end-time remnant of Israel (and for all the people of God's true Israel) after His end-time judgment of the world.
-
Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 9
by Karl Kemp
After discussing Isa. 45:24, 25, we begin a verse-by-verse study of Isaiah chapter 49, which is one of the most important prophetic chapters in the Old Testament that deals with the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 8
by Karl Kemp
We finish the verse-by-verse study of Isaiah chapter 42 here in Part 8 and go on to verse-by-verse studies of Isa. 44:1-5 and 45:14-25. All of these prophetic passages include God's salvation plans for the remnant of the nations/Gentiles along with His salvation and exaltation of His people, (true) Israel, after His end-time judgment of the world.

Seven-Fourteen (7:14)
by beatrice ofwona
Scriptures can easily be explored in a way that easily and quickly makes us see what the central message really is. Seven-fourteen is one such attempt.
-
Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 7
by Karl Kemp
We finish the verse-by-verse study of Isaiah chapter 29 here in Part 7 and go on to a verse-by-verse study of Isaiah chapter 42. Isaiah chapter 42 is one of the most important prophetic chapters in the Old Testament that deals extensively with the Lord Jesus Christ and salvation through Him.
-
Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 6
by Karl Kemp
We complete the study of Isa. 19:4, 16-25 here in Part 7, which deals with God's salvation of the repentant end-time remnant of Egypt. We will discuss Isa. 21:6-12: the primary fulfillment looks to God's end-time judgment of the world ("fallen fallen is Babylon") and the salvation of the remnant of Israel and the nations. And we will begin a verse-by-verse study of Isaiah chapter 29, which deals in large part with God's chastening judgments of Israel through the nations and His salvation of the end-time remnant of Israel.
-
Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 5
by Karl Kemp
We discuss Isaiah chapters 17-19 here in Part 5. Chapter 18 deals with the Ethiopians and chapter 19 with Egypt. The primary message of these chapters is that after God's end-time judgment of the world, the remnant of mankind worldwide will have repented and will "have regard for [their] Maker."
-
Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 4
by Karl Kemp
We discuss Isaiah chapter 14, which prophesies, for one thing, of the fall of the exceedingly proud king of Babylon (ultimately including Antichrist); Isaiah 15:9-16:5, which includes a prophecy of the salvation of the remnant of Moab after God's end-time judgment of the world; and we begin to discuss Isaiah chapter 17, which includes a prophecy of God's judgment of Damascus.
-
Selected Prophecies from the Book of Isaiah, Part 3
by Karl Kemp
We discuss Isaiah chapter 11 and 13:6-13 verse-by-verse here in Part 3, and we begin a verse-by-verse study of Isaiah chapter 14.
